Bungie, how dare you not thoroughly explain about the legacy engrams Xur would be selling. Every one who wasted their strange coins hoping to get a year 2 heavy weapon should be given a free exotic.
A custom made exotic just for getting screwed over, a sort of device with words, a book if you will. The main perk would be learning how to read and the secondary perk would be understanding of the word legacy.
Seriously though, I fail to understand how people could blow through so many strange coins and then whine because they failed to read.
Edit: The overwhelming amount of replies suggesting that I read the updates and calling me an idiot makes me realize very clearly why people wasted so many strange coins. Y'all see what you want to see, and pass judgment before you even know all the information.
Edit two: I can honestly say, I never thought this post would stay trending this long. To the smart people who read and get it, thank you. To the dumb people who just read the title and pass judgment. Well, at least some of you are entertaining.
Also, McDonald's called and requested that I share some of the salt from this post to use on their fries.

Lol. They are called legacy engrams. Look up the word "legacy" in the dictionary. I'll give you a hint: legacy does not mean new
-
Read his second paragraph idiots...
-
Accidentally bought 3 legacy engrams and wasted over 90 strange coins, was actually very pissed off at that...
-
Desticles that make excuses for bungievisons r funny

Edited by CrimsonIXEspada: 9/20/2015 2:55:20 AMUm.. They thoroughly explained Legacy Engrams prior to the launch of TTK. But nice sarcasm
-
There is so much fail in the replies, I knew people don't read and I am still surprised.
-
I seen title and said what did this dumb ass do lol then read the post
-
Dumbasses. It's says legacy. The legacy strike playlist only contains year one strikes. All the you tubers said it contains year one only. I see where you got confused, but use your brain man. Come on.
-
If people learned how to read a weekly update you wouldn't be having this problem
-
I realised they were old exotics but still didn't read the bit saying heavy so I wasted 31 strange coins on the truth when I already have all heavy exotics! It was my own stupidity though and I still have over 200 more coins so no harm done. Did people really buy TONS of engrams before opening any of them?
-
Man people are stupid.
-
Edited by x_Triinity: 9/20/2015 1:08:58 AMwtf does legacy mean? Do people read anymore? Or did you just blow your load when you saw a heavy engram. This proves the education on this planet
is shit
-
They explained it.. Very clearly
-
Bump for the reading impaired.
-
Lol this
-
You're dumb
-
As many have stated, it wasn't Bungie who didn't thoroughly explain the legacy engrams purpose, its the ignorant readers who didn't understand simple words. It plainly says that legacy engrams will contain Year 1 exotics, Legacy means (old or no longer in active use) or outdated in some respects. Thus you do not deserve a free exotic for your ignorance. This post does not mean you individually but anyone who did not take adequate time to read and understand the purpose of the legacy engrams. I bought one for Sh*ts and Giggle hoping to get a now primarily useless Queensbreaker but didn't, its the only one I will buy. I did it fully conscious of what i might get, I don't scorn Bungie for my luck with it, neither should anyone else!

This and the majority of replies, are just golden haha
-
It's funny to see all the people get the heavy expecting year two guns they need to pay more attention
-
ahh, I get it it's a joke
-
It really doesn't surprise me since this forum is filled with illiterate morons.
-
I'm more pissed at the fact I had to use strange coins to purchase engrams instead of motes of light I didn't buy any engrams would have bought a lot of em if it were motes
-
I want to see that petition, it would be a list of illiterate dumbasses.
-
This post needs to stay up, the amount of stupidity flowing through here is making me laugh
-
Done updating your thread of salty tears?
-
So many catches, the b8 must be good.
