Before I start I want to say Bungie must have a some sort of memory issue cause they seem to forget to include a lot of important details when they advertise for Destiny maybe its old age I don't know
Just try watching that vid w/o laughing out of spite.............. no just me? ok
SO we all recall Bungie's high claims saying it would have ten full years of content with tons of customization and how they would have thousands of different type of gear and how you would just about never see the same gear twice (idk about that last one but I personally think that when they read their scripts they missed the dismal point probably said 100.0's of weapons) and we all remembered the HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT WE ALL HAD by week 2 of the release but for some strange reason most of us decided to stay a long for the ride. Then the 1st DLC came out and I don't know about you guys but I was already kind of mad at that point seeming that every other weekly was locked since it was a map from the DLC but for the oddest reasons I kept going and even proceeded to buy the 1st DLC. SURPRISE SURPRISE the 1st DLC was nothing much to brag about I mean the raid was pretty much a strike and there was not all that much knew exciting content with replay value (which was needed seeming that chances are you were going to replay them.... A LOT) and House of wolves only came out with like 3 new Exotics I think that's all that needs to be said there..... AND now I get to TTK when they, like usual, hyped so much that I am sure you were practically "throwing your money at the screen" and it probably is really fun (I am also sure that you will get bored of it in 2 months tops) but here is when Bungie's infamous memory loss comes in you see what they forgot to say during all these TTK advertisements was that if you don't buy it then your full-fledged game turns into a DEMO I mean really!!!
every other weekly is one thing but story mod Crucible AND VENDERS!!!! WTF!!! at this point I give up
some of you might be thinking "well if u give up why are u posting this blah blah" well to answer your question its because I WANT TO
I mean TTK might be awesome for those who bought it (still don't understand why) but for those who did not we just realized we wasted about $100 (including previous DLC's) And can you blame us I mean we all thought it was gonna at least last a year not have a SUBSCRIPTION that lasts for 10 years
EDIT: If your like me and you like your rage nice hot and fresh so that when anyone disagrees w/ u you can always serve them a nice hot plate of hate watch this video on youtube :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DJfYbwr00oA
But in all seriousness this guy pretty much called it all its amazing and yet most of us did not listen AND SOME PROCEED TO NOT LISTEN DON'T KNOW WHY THOUGH
You are sad. I like DLC. How else do you suggest a game to stay original and come out with more content?
-
This was actually a 10 year contract that was signed in 2010. There are only 5 years left in this contract.

This has probably already been said in this thread but destiny is a 10 year FRANCHISE, meaning there are going to be multiple titles in the series with multiple dlc packs per game. Considering that work is already happening on destiny 2 I'm gonna go ahead and guess the well get another 2 or 3 dlc releases before destiny 2 is close to wrapping up. Halo was a 10 year franchise as well, it had the same setup. Multiple entries with multiple dlcs ( mostly map packs.) I don't know why people think that the game we're currently playing is going to be the only one over the next 9 years.

Dlc for dlc for dlc. Think about it. Ttk requires the last two expansions to even play. It's a dlc for a dlc.
-
-
How does ten years of content not equal lots of DLC?
-
People always dog on dark below, but I beat the crapbox out of him on a weekly basis.
-
If the content is as good as the taken king is, he'll yea I'm up in.

Edited by BunkerGATE13: 9/19/2015 6:16:32 AMTen years "of" content? Or Ten years "worth of" content? Because there's a difference Buy it or get your rock off my map. A salt rifle

Listen man. If you don't wanna ride this ship then don't. But some of us love this game and like spending money on it. If you thought Destiny was gonna be one game with no DLC and last for 10 years you have only yourself to blame.

Edited by The Marauder : 9/17/2015 11:30:55 PMThese DLCs they keep releasing, it's just basic missions to set up a raid. Since launch we haven't learned anything about our Guardian, got to interact with the traveller/speaker or learned more about the Darkness and the device the FWC used. I don't know about you guys but i would want the next DLC to focus on the EXOs and the stranger, finding out their true purpose and why they were created. That to me is more interesting than some shitty raid.

The game launched in a poor state. And can't say I agree with lockouts. However, it's been known since before release there would be 4 Destiny games with 5 DLC each.

Indeed.

Destiny proves how low gaming standards are, we are sold an incomplete game yet asked to cough up some more money, now they completely changed it to where "if you want fun you got to buy our DLC" nobody in this moronic community cares as long as the gameplay is good. There needs to be good gameplay for a game to work, but when they advertise a product like Destiny, they better live up to expectations. As you can see they did not, even TTK couldn't fit in the holes Destiny has made for itself. Yet people are bobbling it up like bacon. Of this continues games will get shittier like mobile games shitty. I want to go into details, but we all get the point by now.
