Fastest way to increase light level?
Just hit level 40 with light about 200. What's the best way to get up to 240-280? Quests/crucible/etc?

If you have some materials (heavy ammo synths, etc.) that you faction wants, you can rank up and probably get several vendor packages with legendary guns or armor. That got me from 200 to about 240.

If you want to get to level 40 then do the whole TTK storyline, all the bounties and as many quests as you can. This will boost you to 40 in no time. However getting 240 light is a whole new story, you need luck. Your gonna want to farm crucible and strikes until you level up your crucible and vanguard. Then you gotta hope for a high level piece of armor. A great way to get legendary armor and weapons is to either do crucible or strikes. I did 5 games of crucible and got 2 legendaries and did 3 strikes and got 1. It is extremely efficient and gets your light up really fast
