Not really but I bought it any way.

Early days, on the plus side there is actually story now! Which is nice... What I've played I've enjoyed, 6hrs in so far and killed oryx (a fun fight), just need to find out how we all fit within the ongoing endgame now to fully make my mind up. One constructive thing, beware that the new currency is a grind! No surprises there really though haha

It was really good fun, I spent 12 hours on it yesterday only taking a break for lunch and at tea time, I had a blast with clan mates doing the story, grinding strikes, questing and I am sure I will continue to have fun doing so. So yes it's worth the £40 in my opinion Only draw back is my drops have been terrible and I'm only at max 247 light, looks like no raid for me on Friday :(
-
I have only played thru the main story on one character, there's lots of improvements and it's nice to have some cutscenes and character developments. But £40 seems quite high but the Raid and other content I hope to discover soon may justify it.
-
Probably not but I'm glad I spent the money on it as it's amazing and I'm really enjoying the game so. Even bought the collector's edition stuff too.
-
Yes I'd say so. I wish I hadn't spent 80 though as the extra stuff I am a little disappointed with:(

Honestly no. I like the game so I bought it for the new content but the price is kind of high. Moreover Bungie/Twitchers said it's a new game as big as the vanilla. Sadly it's not. I paid 40€
-
Haven't played too much so far, but what I've seen looks good and will keep me going long enough to justify, in my opinion, the money I spent. I've bought lots of other games in the past but not had anywhere near as much time and enjoyment out of them as I have with Destiny Guess it's the difference between cost and value - which is different for everyone in how they view it
-
I've watched the main storyline on youtube and I'm not impressed at all. The cutscenes are nice, but there's none we didn't see in the trailer. there are still recycled locations. A lot of impostant information being relaid through grimoire cards. I'm not from the UK so I don't have that price discrepancy, but as it is, it gets a "no" from me (and a "hell no" if I had to pay in pounds...)
-
Don't look here for that. You're either gonna get fan boys or people who dislike the game like myself. Or you'll get someone that actually can put a detailed answer and be completely honest. But what everyone should do is look at the past to determine the future. Meaning everything now will most likely be recycled. Anyway gather up a bunch of detailed reviews and put them together.

Think about it like this.... If you go to the movies you'll spend maybe £10-£15 on 3 hours of entertainment. I have 47 days played on destiny so I'm fine with paying £40 for the DLC.
-
For that 40 quid spent I will have 100's of hours of entertainment so I think so
-
Yes based on the amount of content I've come across thus that. That being said I play a lot of Destiny and I thoroughly enjoy this game!
-
The new subclasses alone are a load of fun and make the game fresh for me. I'm having even more fun in the pvp and have not played to much of the new story but the 40 mins of it I have played is far better than the whole of the vanilla story haha. It actually kept me playing longer than normal on the PVE side for once
-
Oh God yes
-
-
I would say more £30, but when they drop the raid, if its good it would be worth a tenner more
-
On the whole, yes. Huge improvement in my eyes.
-
If u shopped around n traded in ur original game u dnt actually pay £40.I got my legd edition for £30. Even saying that I think it's worth it.
-
IMO yes.

YEEES

1 ReplyI would say yes quests are given constantly the taken king missions are fun and the strikes have alot going for them
-
2 RepliesYes. There is maybe 5 hours of story, new crucible game modes, new strikes, new gear. I am definitely going to spend over 40 hours on it, therefore it is worth £40 (that's how I rate games on value).

9 RepliesCheaper to buy whole game again
