The one about gameplay.
So what are your first impressions of the gameplay in the missions, Strikes, on patrol, and any other PVE experience you have done? What do you think of the enemies, are their new attacks and abilities interesting? What about your new abilities, how are you liking the new Subclasses? Are you enjoying the new mechanics in missions and strikes? Consider this the place to let us know about general sandbox gameplay for PVE, I will have a separate thread for PVP feedback. Tell us what you think.

Edited by slavko: 9/17/2015 3:01:29 AMHow many copies have been sold to date?

Loot drops are very frequent now then they used to be.
-
Lot of anteaters and weasels with a mix of centipedes. :/
-
Everything is amazing BUT can we work in some kinda buff to warlocks while in arc super? Cause this is bs how I am literally up in people's faces and shot down super easily during and out of PvP that damage output is amazing but I'm squishy as hell
-
the new missions are wonderful, the story was actually not that bad, the taken are great, the dreadnought is loads of fun, and swords are a joy to use. BUT. I'd still like to see old stuff get the infusions. I really hate to see my fatebringer just sitting there, gathering dust.
-
Good step in the right direction, taken captains however.... No.. Just no lol.. My main concern is how the marks are handled because dailies are account wide instead of per character, I don't mind but by playing crucible as well they should be handed out. I highly suggest you do something about the distribution
-
Also too easy to do bounties to easy to level up equals boring I expected to time weeks perhaps months to get to level 40 I'm there in 4 hours great I feel about as epic as a chocolate fire guard.
-
Old gear becomes obsolete quickly. The new gear feels different, not bad just different. The more I play with the new gear the more I miss my old gear. We need a way to infuse all of our old gearm to year 2.

skinner box shit time and again....

SO much fun. The campaign alone had awesome cinematics and I love Cayde in this. Patrolling the dreadnaught is amazing too. SO much to do and uncover through exploration. Wonderful job. Can't wait to keep playing.

Everything is outstanding! The missions blew my mind. The moment I saw oryx waiting on the other side of that door just glaring at me all I could do was stand there and stare and whisper 'ohhhhh shit'. Ha! So many chills. Seriously though guys if I had more time right now I would go on about everything but it's safe to some it up by saying: missions 10/10 subclasses 10/10, new enemies 10/10. New patrol bosses 10/10 everything exceeded my expectations and more. Keep up the fantastic work. If this is the direction destiny is taking I'm in for the long hall. Bring on the Raid!!!!

Personally, I think it's all excellent. The previous Destiny story missions were quite thin, no real objective. Just follow this path and kill everything in front of you. These require a bit more thought in some places, and the story intertwines with the gameplay very well. Loads of fun.

I love the new expansion so far. Really. I feel like things have become more interesting and streamlined. I haven't played pvp yet but the pve is fun. I'm happy with it. Definitely worth 40 bucks to me.
-
Very cool. If I had any complaints at all it would be the new weapons I have come across so far are a little underpowered for level 40 taken. In other words the weapons don't quite keep pace with the progression through the missions. Other than that its very cool. There is a bit of a HALO feel to the first few missions. The dreadnaught is a blast. Definitely going in the right direction.

-
Can't even play the vanilla game, so why would I give you more money so you can do the same to us all agen.
-
Top job strikes are now challenging did the nightfall an it felt so good to smash darkblade an it was a very challenging experience. I would like the nightfall buff back asap apart from that 10 out of 10 well done bungie. Can't wait to do the raid :) For those who are still not sure about buying the taken king trust me it's worth it.

A+ Finally the characters in the tower aren't just blocks you throw currency at to get stuff. They have personality and roles and the hunter subclass is fantastic. Haven't got to the others yet. My only complaint is class specific shaders. I want that orange one on my hunter :( and the purple one on my Titan haha.
-
On the whole......Very well done. Two small complaints though: 1. No way to adjust the difficulty on the story missions. At level 34-and-up, we got to kind of steamroll over the enemies we faced. Would have been nice to play through it at a higher level of difficulty 2. The taken are too similar APPEARING. No way (at range) to tell the difference between one type and another until they attack you/teleport/divide or DO something else that clearly identifies them. The mission design was a nice change. and the final battle against Oryx was a huge breath of Fresh air. Reminded me (in a good way) of the final boss battle against Diablo in Diablo 3. Multiple phases. Multiple options for how you can approach fighting him. Only thing you can't do is just stand in one place and try to slug it out. Keep moving, and you can fight him however you want. If this is the new design philosophy going forwards? Two thumbs up....and I look forward to a really fun Year Two.

It is awesome! The enemies are a bit more dynamic with their different abilities. The story is well actually a story ;). All around you did a great job with this expansion i just wish the story was longer. The new subclasses are awesome. Overall you all did a great job keep up the good work.
-
So. -blam!-ing. Awesome. Missions are frantic with engaging characters. The dialogue and cut scenes make it feel like everyone in the tower is concerned about what's happening and it establishes a tone of urgency. Feels like something is really at stake this time while previous story felt kind of lackadaisical. NPCs were nonchalant before while now they're engaged. And I've only played the first couple story missions. I can't wait to see what the rest of the dlc, let alone the raid, has in store.
-
The story has shaped up to what it should always have been. I was very happy. The Oryx boss battle FELT like an old RPG boss battle it was so cool. I do wish we had more vehicles available as we had in Halo. And there's a sound bug in the tower which is annoying. Overall a good step in the right directions. And it seems to investigate more lore and set up more for the future. But I hope there's not to much answers to the lore "preydeth" that my limit what we explore in the future.
-
I really like the dynamic new edge given by the taken and the dreadnaught. Makes me think of solving problems in a whole different way. Thanks for the expansion, unlike the haters, I love the direction the game is going in
-
Simply put I think this needed to be a completely different game isn't not right that all previous content is obsolete
-
So far so good. The taken enemies seem very good and different which is nice and refreshing. Enjoyed the patrol on the cosmodrome when the Taken arrived. Yet to do any strikes, am going to complete the main story before I do but imagine they are very good.

Idgaf what guardians say my friends and I enjoyed this.
