It's probably because they know everyone has a absolute sh!t ton of strange coins and also because they changed it so factions take synth for rep so they need to balance it out, plus it's still the best deal for heavy synth in the game.

All true expect one thing. New players don't have a crap load of coins. I know a new player and they are already getting very fed up with how this game is handled. Poor customer service is what the key point they made was. Mean game makers. Rude. Well you get the point. Way to welcome the new players. Great job. Not.
