I always care for the crucible more than vanguard unless I need to get certain things, but I have been playing crucible since Destiny's beta during the summer of 2014. Everything that always happen in the crucible prior to update 2.0(sniper shotguns, buffed-up exotic hand cannons, and etc.) some of us move toward vanguard just to do something that isn't irritating. I was happy when I started playing after download the update, but there are some problems I wish to point out. Also, I am listing things that I give thumbs up.
1. SHOTGUNS: Even back in day one of Destiny, crucible was always about auto-rifles and shotguns. Although, shotguns wasn't good for vanguard missions and they were one of the useless weapon for vanguard. When Bungie launch their first weapon tuning update they buff shotguns even I agree that they needed it for vanguard. Of course, that was way before first of the three shotguns, Felwinter's Lie, was released. People always look good range and fire rate, because impacts were almost similar unless you want to talk about Judgement VI. Before those three shotguns, shotguns like Secret Handshake and Invective were the norm of the crucible, and I still hold on to my Secret Handshake. Now, Bungie did fix the range of the shotguns like they said will, but people still complaining. Some people say it is the same problem, but I think its the fact that you still get one body shot kill without them even having to react. For an example, if I shoot a player with a sniper on the body, he can still have a chance to walk away. If I shoot a person with a fusion rifle(and yes you can get one body shot kill if you keep all your shots from that one burst on them) but at a certain range and he still has health, he has a good chance to react. The point is that I think shotguns' impact should go down to where you have to get two body shots or one precision kill. Of course, some people would say not to get too close to the shotgunner unless you were running at him/her for odd reasons, but its easy said than done.
Now, I got that out of the way...
2. HAND CANNON: They did a good job on fixing the range on them as well. Especially, The Last Word, its range is where it needed to be. Of course, I'm sure other people said that its the same problem. Same thing for Hawkmoon and Thorn, I can still get kill with my Timur's Lash. Again, others may experience different.
3. FUSION RIFLE: Ever since the first weapon tuning, where the burst spread is wider, people threw away their fusion rifles. Few of us like me tend to keep their's fusion rifle. It is already proven useless in the vanguard and barely used in the crucible. Unless, you use Plan C that is the only common fusion rifle that people used. Of course, there is nothing wrong with this weapon tuning update, but it's that first tuning on the fusion rifle that people see it useless.
4. SNIPER RIFLE: Thumbs up on NO LAST ROUND BODY SHOT KILLS. Now, for a fair sniper battles.
5. BLINK JUMPS: First off, I don't even know why it still exists. Even with this update it is still annoying. Everybody would always be Blade dancers or Void walkers and very few Titans (at least they have shoulder charge). I even use it when all players in a match use it (like Elimination matches), but at the same time I totally despise it. Maybe I'm just not good at it, I don't know.
Finally, some people would say that most of us just seem to suck at using these tactics and maybe its true, but most of the time it is easy said than done and most of us aren't perfect.
