"A Light in the Dark" (Thorn) bounty bugged after patch 2.0
After I installed patch 2.0, I suddenly have "A Light in the Dark" (Thorn) bounty out of nowhere. I didn't have the bounty before patch 2.0. I am 100% sure about that. The bounty is now at the last stage where you need to talk to The Speaker in The Tower and you get the reward, Thorn. The only problem is I can't complete the bounty, it's bugged, there is no Thorn icon on the reward screen where I can click on (see screenshot) and [u]no bounty in the inventory screen[/u]!
(I already have Thorn on another character.)

call me insande, but try opening the bounty vendor, and then trying to clear the bounty from within your inventory? i mean i think thats what some people have done for year one iron banner bounties i think

I already have the Thorn, but same issue here. I now have a bounty reward with the speaker but nothing to claim.

Same. Says the speaker has something for me. Go check. Says "aquire thorn" but not even the gun shows up. So i dismiss it. I already had the thorn. Didnt even have the bounty before ttk launched. Dont know what to do to get it to go away.

Had the issue. It resolved when I hit level 40.

Your lucky you got it at all, my husband had three gun bountys before taken king, they went to the speaker, he can not get them at all it tells him the speaker has it but it will not give it to him, he is very upset

61 RepliesExotic bounties are no longer being handed out after the 2.0.0 patch. If you had an exotic bounty in your inventory it will be advanced to the last step of the bounty and you can collect the weapon in the Tower.

I have this problem currently. I completed the Thorn Bounty before the patch, still have the gun in my inventory, but for some reason have this quest collection bug in-game always highlighting the Speaker. Very frustrating.

This has happened to me as well and i really want to get the engram from the cryptarch and the rewards from year 1 would like Bungie to fix this as my friends have the same problem and it is getting frustrating.

As of Sunday, September 20th, I was/am still experiencing this bug on my Titan. I had previously completed the "Light in the Dark" quest line on the same character and had Thorn still in my character's inventory, but not fully lvled. Thank you. :)
