Well; they've done it again
Bungie, I've been able to look past so much of the shit you've pulled on us previously but this is it.
I have over 2000 hours playtime in Destiny. All that time is now worth nothing. I'm from the UK, so I paid more for the taken king than my friends across the pond. I usually don't make posts on the forums, but this is it. I followed the hype from the Easter eggs in ODST, roughly eight years ago. You promised so much in the lead up to the game, and that turned out to be a pack of lies. You never answered questions in your own forums, sometimes giving vauge non answers that do nothing except piss off the community.
But now you're locking out people who didn't buy the taken king from participating in content that they previously had access to, you've made perks that made year one guns special complete crap, so your new horrible guns won't have to compete. You've taken guns we grinded for hours to got rid of what made them special, E.G hopscotch.
We aren't able to wear the class items we like now because the new system means we have to equip class items with an armour stat to be effective, shotgun nerf in PVE is stupid, 45%? Are you kidding me? Gg found verdict. May as well dismantle you now. Fun while it lasted. Nolan north is terrible... Worse than dinklebot. All you are giving me to take forward into year two is a shader, emblem and sparrow.
I forgave you for The Dark Blows, for turning Crucible into a thorn-shotgun fest, for the chopped up content at launch, shipping nearly all the content finished and on disk, the lack of story, but that's it now. No more.
You said our gear would be respected, but you took a big steamy dump on it and expect me to be okay with it. Gunna play the new subclasses when ttk comes out, then you and Activision can go -blam!- yourselves. Not getting another penny from me ever again.
Thanks to the community for making this game enjoyable for year one, bungie didn't help.
EDIT: Since there has been talk about 2,000 hours play time it has come to my attention that the time played on my Xbox isn't actually play time, it includes down time in the tower. Had 12 characters overall. Let's stick to the important subject yeah?

7 RepliesThe "my time was made irrelevant" thing lets me know that you don't value YOUR time. My time was not made irrelevant because I was having fun. If it wasn't fun I wouldn't have played. If you weren't enjoying yourself, then you were wasting 2000 hours. Let's remember this is a video game, and video games are meant for fun. It's not bungies problem if you're treating it like a job.

8 RepliesIf you don't like the game then leave lol. Go outside or something. If you've spent 2000+ hours on this game you need to take a little break. And if you think you could do so much better, please apply for a spot at bungie and give them your input. I am very satisfied with what they are doing. Don't complain; it's just a game.

the trick is to NOT look past the shit. some of us refused to be bullied early on, but when we came to these forums instead of finding tens of thousands or angry players, we found tens of thousands of players making excuses because they like the game and remembered the "old bungie" from the parkplace days. the fun company with talent and drive .... That company died a good while back and was replaced with Bellevue bungie, much much bigger, much less talent , a lot more temp staff and a new partner that makes Microsoft look like the Gates Foundation.

This behavior from the community, ie: getting distracted by unnecessary things like 1000 vs 2000 hours is why Bungie can continually take advantage of us over and over and over again. Cause we are unfocused and act like children. We need to rise up together and show Bungie they can't treat us like dirt anymore. Who is with me? Who will be our leader?! Will you be?

Im currently trying to get a refund for my purchase of TDB, & HOW. Take everything back from these sheisters you can, as theyre doing to us. Get more active on the forums, especially on r/destinythegame because its just a shitshow of desticles there, we need a larger voice. We all have our trusted faces and names we go to lets face it. Me, I'm waiting on Angry Joe. You know that one will be hard core dead on balls accurate. 3 RepliesYeah, I mean whatever "fun" people had in Destiny was all the result of other players in the community. The game itself nor the developer actually have a hand in any of this. All the "fun" experiences that were had in this game can easily be had in other, much larger less expensive games that are actual MMOs with far more content that isn't rendered pointless after each year. Talk about shooting yourselves in the foot, Bungie. Good game. Hope the riches promised by Activision was well worth the loss of respect and reputation for your brand and company.
