Weekly What's Update
Here we are at the end of another fun-filled week. New matchmaking playlists, new maps, it was crazy, that's for sure. This week, a wee bit of news about the new maps. Including screens. Because we love you.

what I have to say even though I used to be a 27, is whats the reward of a high level! Wow bragging rights, te he! Thats sarcasm. Everyone should stop calling people noobies and say levels! Hah! Theres no freaking reward!

sry but theres more to come BUNGIE, at my house my internet connection sometimes isn't too great cuz my dumazz brother plays wierd online games, so sometimes i laggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg out. Its a horrible feeling, especially when we have 48 out of 50 in a team slayer and i lagggggggggggggg out. All i want to know is if my ranks will suffer due to my dumazz brother and his stupid online games. I know u have to put to thought that ppl can safely chicken out of a game that way also, but plz, plz, i dont want my rankings to suffer!!!! thanx BUNGIE.

BUNGIE, i have a problem whenever i want to join a custom game or pregame lobby with a bud it will always say "networking problems, cannot join" or somin like that. Can u plz help? i know its not him lagging out or anything cuz he calls me to tell me hes waiting in the lobby, so either u bs with that networking problems thingy, or theres somin to it... PLZ ANSWER!!!

The screenshot for Relic looks pretty sexy. Please tell me the middle structure is a multileveled indoor area. So where do we post questions for you to consider for the next weekly update? I have a little problem with Team Slayer and other team games in particular. I have this friend who is a lot less skilled than I am at the game. But he mostly plays when I get on. What this means is that I end up artificially elevating his level until I can't carry him anymore. This is all fine with me, but the annoying part is when I play without him and gain a few levels. The next time we play together, my rank + his inflated rank causes us to go on a long and annoying streak of getting beat down. And then the whole process starts over again. Is there any way you guys can allow a player to lock his level to prevent artificial inflation?

I created a party with one of my buddies yesterday but when I went into the matchmaking part, I could not just play TEAM SLAYER. It said something like Invalid Matchmaking.... Does that mean that it is no longer an option to play team slayer or was that just a glich?

think about it the map mounds suck so bad because u get both snipers and the round/match is won cuz the other 2 do w/e and the snipers just spawn camp yea thats alot of skill

Lately when I have playing on Xbox Live it seems that I have been lagging out. Whenever my home phone rings it goes to the blue screen as when someone quits and on my screen it says everyone else playing and in the actual game it says that I quit. My question is why is this happening, how can i fix it, and will it hurt my ranking in matchmaking?

i am agreeing with fsq, here, why do people keep -blam!-in about the BR its the weapon that envolves the most skill, if u r -blam!-in about it, u r probably one of the noobs i have butchered, or will butcher.

Thawmus......ill play ya head to head or team of your choice with a team of my choice with the BR any day......looking at your stats you look like a Noob to me. I didnt say that I wasnt good with a BR, i was saying that all the Noobs out there like you who cant play the game need these changes, so grow up, look for me online and we will play. Oh and another thing Thawmus......i've been playin video games probably before you were born and yes i played Halo 1. And No in playing lan parties bungie overbalanced the pistol in it. And IM pretty SURE Bungie wouldnt have put other weapons in the game in their locations if they intended everyone to play with the BR. I would like to say that starting with the BR was a bad thing on most maps.1st Burial Mounds.......you guys are out of your mind making the BR a starting weapon on that map. For all the people who whined and hated it because it was ''too one-sided'' you are poor team players. That level was ALL about team work and it didnt matter if you started with an SMG if you work as a team you could gain the power weapons. It seems like you guys at Bungie took out the skill and effort that made that level unique, to answer a few whiners prayers. And for all you MLG freaks out there that requested these Map changes, you think that MLG governs how your supposed to play the game, and Bungie gave in. Bungie did an excellent Job with the design and balance of the game and I personally dont think they needed to change anything. This game is about FUN and SKILL and Bungie knows that. But all of you who suck at using ALL aspects of the game....Poo on you. You DONT have any skill if you cant use all the weapons, You DONT have any skill if all you go for is a BR, you DONT have any skill if your a power weapon HOG. Wake up Guys and try using grenades and other weapons and STOP -blam!-ing about it. PLAY THE GAME ITS MEANT TO BE PLAYED. And BUNGIE, you know you guys are good at what you do, so poo on you for making the whiners happy.

I actually asked for BR starts on Burial Mounds and Coagulation. And now that Containment is out, I can easily say that BR starts on that map are a good idea as well. What I DON'T think is a good idea is having a usual day of this: BR only, then Rifles only (snipe craze), then Humans Slayer, which might as well just be called Rifles with a few rocket launchers, and then occasionally a NORMAL game with BR starts. The latter is the only one most of us asked for, and we got all the other crap along with it.... I hate spawn raping with the sniper rifle, but the only two maps where it happened to me was Coagulation and Burial Mounds. I agree that Burial Mounds sucks, however.... I really like the BTB's with BR starts on most maps still, however. Even Headlong has improved a great deal in this fashion. But on maps the size of Beaver Creek or Warlock? No.
