This goes out to the dev or community manager, but I have been curious about the blueprints for a while now.
Now, I see that we could easily get weapons from year one that earned and any year 2 version that may be available
What I am wondering is are we going to specifically need the weapon or armor in our inventory or will it be based off some sort of record? I could see weapons working out because you could just read our grimoire and see that, but what about armors?
I saw they were coming next week so just wanted to get all the finer details sorted out.
Edit: I wasn't being clear. For a better example, I had voidfange vestments at one point in time. Will I have the ability to purchase them, or the new version if there is one, when 2.0 update hits or will I have to re-aquire them after the patch hits.

Edited by ReposedReticence: 9/4/2015 2:11:58 AMMark Noseworthy tweeted this in regards to exotic blueprints: "Any Exotic you have in your inventory when Destiny update 2.0.0 goes live, will come with an Exotic Blueprint. No guarantees before that." (Link: https://mobile.twitter.com/knowsworthy/status/634442957488197633) It seems like if you've dismantled an exotic and don't have it in your vault or inventory, it won't translate into an exotic blueprint.

Edited by Koris: 9/4/2015 1:48:28 AMIt should be ever had since the weapons show up on your grimoire score, but it's probably just whats currently in your possession because of armor.

Go back and listen to the live stream. I think DEEJ says something like any weapon or armor you "ever" had rather than "currently" have.

Edited by PrimaryNotFound: 9/4/2015 1:32:10 AMTheir system is going to scan the vault and characters to check your level. I would assume this same scan or another like it will be used to check which exotics you own. I wouldn't dismantle anything until Tuesday.

Edited by x Auto Pilot x: 9/4/2015 1:22:34 AMThe way I understood it is if you have the exotics in your vault/inventory after the blueprints drop on Tuesday, that they will be saved and you can pick them up at anytime. However, exotics that you had and deleted will not contribute to the blueprints. Edit: This is just my understanding from the first Twitch reveal. I could be completely wrong, but with the doubled vault space, I am just going to keep mine anyway.

Edited by PK: 9/4/2015 1:11:36 AMDuring the reveal they shed light on that. For now, keep your Exotics in your inventory. Once the blueprints are implemented, your inventory will be "scanned" and take all of the current Exotic you have into account. Then you're free purchase the blueprint of an Exotic you have had. Edit: Mark Noseworthy elaborated the same thing on his Twitter feed. I will provide a link after I run the NF.

Wait until next Tuesday. Look at your blueprints. You are free to delete your exotics now if you wish. Your blueprints will remain.

Bump? anyone?
