Have you not read the publicized version of the Bungie Activision contract for Destiny franchise? Destiny 2 by 2017.

I spent some time earlier today reading the full contract as it goes. My main takeout is (alarmingly) the extent of the voice Activision has over all aspects of this game - including pricing, content and schedules. I didn't realise the 'partnership' was so deep.

Yea so by year 9 we'll have like Destiny 4.5 or some stupid crap.
-
Yeah I knew that - it was more like the fact they dictate prices (feeling screwed here as I live in the UK) and ultimately what content makes (or doesn't make) it into each instalment. You get the sense that this backs up the point many have made about story content from the original game being held back. Disappointing if so.

Yup blame Activision.

I don't blame them, they are a publisher trying to make as much cash as possible. I don't blame Bungie either for agreeing to this deal, although I would have hoped they would both have the integrity to also consider the long term value of their customers - by taking their feedback into account when developing the Destiny overall product.
