I often get teamed up with AFKers who shoots couple mobs then just hides the rest of the time. Seconded by AFKers who keep killing himself by running into mobs or bosses. I rarely see a pure AFKer now.
Nonetheless, whenever I see any of the behavior above, I just report them and go to orbit. Usually the next team is willing to play the strike like normal players.

I put keeps running into mobs of enemies and dying. It's not technically right. It was one time when trying to kill that Fallen Mercenary (can't remember strike name) and we were up to trying to destroy the Fallen Walker. I'd joined the strike in dragon right then. Both guys were AFK for some reason. I had to babysit both of them. One of them thankfully came to their senses and picked up the controller. We got about 3/4 of the way through the Walker and then the other guy picked up. He only really used a primary though. Rarely used a heavy. We got to the end and smashed the boss. I hate AFKers.

This guy wasn't afk, but it was basically the equivalent. I was playing around in the dragon strike playlist with my brother. We found one guy who just couldn't stop dying. I mean he got killed by the fallen walker in the Taniks strike more times than I care to count. Every time I saw a group of melee vandals, a captain or exploding shanks going towards him it was like I had to go on a rescue mission to keep him from dying. I could tell he was trying, but he just couldn't figure it out. If I didn't have to leave for work I would have invited him to the fireteam and taught him how to not die.

In PvE I very rarely run into a AFK person. However, if I do run into them I use my baby Titan melee to hopefully knock them out of it. In PvP there's usually 2 people: The one who's completely inactive (sorta-rare) and the one who's AFK for 30 seconds and then jumps into the fight (common).
