So, in your opinion, weapons and weapons alone embody your legend? And Bungie insisting you no longer use them in the new content is disrespectful? So disrespectful, that you are willing to not play anymore?

 • Raids weapons and armor show where you've been and what you've done, they are your legend. Exotics are bought or from the rng slot machine and not dependent on accomplishing something and therefore not special. Those things have meaning to those who have them, they earned them and should never be left behind. If a person wants to use vision or Word for the duration of the franchise, they should be able to. This is also about the lack of respect for the players time and effort this decision showcases. New content doesn't mean the accomplishments in the old should simply be cast aside and forgotten like it never happened. Yes, it is enough to get me to stop playing. Couple it with the lack of value I see in this dlc and it's a no brainer. 4 strikes, 8 missions, a raid and some crucible maps doesn't scream $40 value to me. That's the content of this dlc, the rest is beautification and housekeeping which non buyers will also get. So long story short, I'm definitely done. I just got home from trading my copy, the copy from Activision and the copy of advanced warfare for mgs 5 which drops tonight.

 • Fair enough, good luck then. Hope you don't regret that decision (;

 • You lose. And I still won't buy it with the money I just theoretically won from you.

 • I don't hate it at all, I simply won't continue to support a game that doesn't value the time I put in to it.

 • I wouldn't call not having the option to ascend weapons and armor hardly a real reason to quit Destiny. But that's just me. In just about every other game that has more than one copy, I likely can't carry over my progress from the last. Does this mean everything I did in the other copy is null and void? No. Does this mean the developer is disrespecting my time? No. Take CoD for example. You have a progression system. You rank up, get new stuff and everything is honky dory. But when the next year's CoD comes out, you start over. Your progress normally doesn't carry over from one game to the next. This applies to most games. I've always been confused about why this logic applies to Destiny and not other games.

 • If it was the true sequel I'd agree, but we're a year in

 • You're right it's not a true sequel. But Destiny will be a much different game. A lot of aspects are going to change. In fact, the game almost just about starts over.
