The biggest problems I think will happen with ttk: Boss health is shortened in strikes, but due to mechanics it will become a long and boring fight. You take a quarter damage, boss disappears, you run across map to pick up item, boss shows up, you get him to half, boss disappears, you run across map, kill adds, boss appears and rinse and repeat. You will have the same thing with will or crota or undying mind, awesome playing it once or twice but then you get undying kind and people quit. I think there is going to be a huge amount of recycled content. People who spent months grinding will get frustrated because they have to rock blue and green again. Essentially you will be starting from scratch. You will say but you can still use your year one weapon and gear, but year two blue and greens will beat them in every way. You put in 800 hours into a game, and one year later you are on the same level as someone who only played 20 hours. I preordered the game but don't anticipate playing it.

  • Way I see it. 2 kinds of bosses. 1- Your good ol bullet sponge. 2- Weak fellow with walls. Basically too much health to make him boss without being too fatal. Or low health boss who has walls you avoid or break to get him. Dark souls uses type 2.

  • If year one players will be rocking greens and blues then from level 1 to 20 may just have access to white gear still forcing them to catch up to us and they still won't have as much experience as we do so why be upset. We are starting as level 34s while even with the one time booster they can only reach 25 and that's only one character so me personally won't be pissed at the next mans advancement.

    This is different than wow. Your ignorance is beyond belief. THIS IS LIKE WOW DUDE, I LIKE TO USE CAPS TO BE MORE DRAMATIC. Yes I have played mmos, this is different. This is not am mmo. What's the biggest group you can have on one planet? 8? 16? I wouldn't say that's massive. That's peanuts compared to say wow where you can have over a thousand active players on one world. Totally different. And Fyi, wow builds on your characters strengths. Example, you are able to kill vanilla monster with vanilla weapons in 10 minutes. A new expansion drops, you get new weapons, now you are able to kill that monster in 5 minutes. Destiny is different, it takes you 10 minutes to kill one monster, expansion drops, it still takes you 10 mins for the same monster. There is a 3 level cap difference whole not the same in wow.

  • I'll give you the killing monsters but the massive doesn't only stand for people in one realm. Destiny is not massive but it is a pretty large world. If we didn't get our sparrows at lvl 4 and had to wait till 20, we would be pissed about having to walk all over the decently sized worlds

  • I'm not really going to argue your point because there is no real set definition to an mmo. My belief is that the massive pertains to the number of players that are in one world. How do you define massive? As I don't think a 16 player per server game should be considered as massive. When I think massive I think you are able to play with or in the vicinity of a lot of players. I think each world on Destiny can support up to 8-16? The most coop you can have is 6. Again, not that massive. I am not disagreeing with you but my opinion does differ in the definition.

  • Oh so you mean the level cap is being removed? If not, you need to shut the -blam!- up. If you are three levels higher than the enemy then your damage is limited, not the same as wow, retard. Considering ffxiv is on console and they have about 15 servers with 1-5k people on at once, you're telling me Destiny couldn't handle that?   • Because ff14 is a -blam!-ing mmorpg which has different standards than the almost untested waters of a mmofps. Oh and -blam!- wit the damage Is capped at 3 above because bungie knows people help others level and grind so they included that so there's no rushing when it came to levels and xp to make the game a bit slower since yes, they don't have full access to the -blam!-ing GIGANTIC FUNDS of square Enix (which is listed as worth more and makes more money then Activision could even dream of) also Activision didn't give bungie DEDICATED SERVERS LIKE SQUARE HAS.   • But I'm not? It is a mmofps. Not a mmorpg there's more to in a rpg such as wow that requires much MUCH more of it being on pc, with consoles you have to keep in mind the limitations. You -blam!-wits demand wow quality dlc on a frankly outdated machine. Also they have to pander to the 360 owners and ps3 which is even more outdated then current. You -blam!-wits use cod logic with some -blam!-ed up view of how this game is made. Borderlands reskins for their dlcs bit with cell shading they can be more dramatic. -blam!-ing spoiled little shits. No matter what bungie says (and they said it's not a mmo because they don't want people to lump in other like games and want to have some singularity but you're too thick to read between the line) it will always be a mmofps

    Man I love desticles like you; one moment destiny isn't an mmo because Bungie said it wasn't, (the "it's not an mmo" claim was made A LOT more when the issue of farming came up) but then when year two comes around and Bungie nullifies all work put into the first year it's now all of a sudden "OMG U FUKIN NOOB YOU'VE NEVER PLAYED AN MMO BEFORE?!"
