Gonna sell my xbox one and all my games and buying ps4 the taken king edition, pre ordering BO3 and fall out 4
Haha people Crack me up on these forums, if you don't care or if it bothers you please feel free to hit your back button. Trust me as little as you care about this post is how little I care about your negative immature posts.
BTW got a few people asking me why the switch, basically, xbox released an update for my controller, which I thought was interesting, so I accept and the update starts and it says there was an error and my controller shuts off, no big I'll just turn it on and retry. But wait, controller wont turn on, damn time to hit the forums for the solution... I try several things, failure after failure so let's talk to xbox support they will know what to do. I call them we try a few things then he says nothing we can do at this point, ok fair enough technology fails us time to time. So I ask what do we do from here the response, buy a new controller. I say, wait, I got this controller 2 months ago, he says ok ok let's get your numbers.. ok here ya go, he responds with looks like you have a day one edition of the xbox one. Yes sir I reply, my original controller got a spill on it so I bought this beauty. Then what he says next just stumped me, he tells me "all warranty on accessories and controllers are attached with the console, you can buy 5 tomorrow and warranty will be void because the age of your console..... arguments happen supervisors get on the phone, then finally I get hung up on.... I have nothing against the console itself other then the crooks who manufacturer the console. That's why I switched.

What a load of shit. You sir, have no clue what you are talking about. ' everything is tied to the console'. Biggest load of bullshit I've ever heard.

Edited by MagikSkull: 8/30/2015 12:40:44 PMAfter reading your reason for switching I have come to the conclusion that this is some bullshit. Accessories attached to your console's warranty date? What? Huh? Just, No. That's like buying a car, then getting new tires a few years later. One tire fails the next day and they won't replace it because your car is 3 years old... I don't believe this at all. Good luck with PS4 though, mine sucked. It made a bad, super loud, vibrating noise when loading discs, and the rubber on the contoller thumbsticks started wearing off within a couple of weeks.

I think your controller just ran out of battery :p
-
That seems like a pretty big overreaction to getting told to simply purchase a new controller. :/ I get it, it's the principle. But seriously, it'd be easier to just get a new controller and move on.

Edited by Aurion77: 8/30/2015 6:31:58 AMMicrosoft has the worst customer service of any software/hardware company I've ever called. I feel your pain. I bought a 360 at launch, which lasted a few years before getting the rrod. I replaced that console with a slim one. Naturally I had to sign into my account on the new xbox to verify ownership. Keep in mind at this point I haven't used the email tied to my xbox live account in years. I set up the email address exclusively for my xbl account. Had to do a password reset request. I tried every password I could ever remember using for anything and none were right. I had so many wrong entries it permanently locked the email address. I called Microsoft trying to recover the account and I was told since the email tied to my xbl account was locked there was nothing they could do. My dispute was the email was a Hotmail account which is run by Microsoft. Essentially I was told they wouldn't do anything for me and I was going to lose the thousands of dollars and hours I had invested in my 360. Nearly a hundred digital games, not to mention achievements. I have a friend who worked for Microsoft for years who told me they could have easily fixed the problem. He couldn't understand why they refused so many times.

Good riddance, we don't want scum like you on the Xbox master race ;)

Kind of a dick move but you can get em back by buying a new controller, putting your crap controller in New box and returning it

Im sure everyone has there own story. I switched to an XB1 from PS4. Btw i never had an xbox console apart from the original xbox. But ive had a lot of sony products like PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP. Anyways, after around 3 months of buying a PS4 on release, all the accounts on the PS4 signed out (we used the auto sign in feature). I attempted to enter the password manually but it failed, so i tried to reset. After what seemed to be a successful reset, my new password did not work. I rang up sony and they tried to help by reseting it again. Once again it did not work. It seemed to be an issue with the software in my console rather than on sonys side. I had warranty but was not given a new console. Luckily GAME was willing to fully refund my console and add it to the fund for a brand new XB1. So far the only problems i have had is the controller getting sticky keys, and i am happy with everything it has offered. And any1 talking about graphics is stupid, it is almost impossible to tell them apart. TL:DR things happen to everyone, different experiece to different people, so there will always be different opinions.

Im probably going to do the same

I own destiny on both ps4 and Xbox one and Xbox one wins for many reasons. Controller battery life is 3x that of ps4. Team invites on ps4 have a longer process, ps4 doesn't have split screen for messages, ps4 has to reload destiny if you switch to another program in the background(Xbox one you can watch Netflix and still resume the game because it's true multitask) headset on Xbox one has mute, more comfortable and better sound. I bought the White destiny ps4 bundle on release too but Xbox one is just so much better

Welcome to the playstation nation. Sony support is always great never had an issue with them. I have the day one edition ps4 and it's still going strong. Only issue was with day one controllers the sticks came with some cheap rubber that can easily get torn. They changed them with the newer controls. Other than that everything is great. Once again welcome.
-
You wont get better support over here imo but you will appreciate the better graphics, welcome.

Bad choice to swap because you messed up! It sounds like a standard warranty agreement and you are just upset Microsoft stuck to their policy. I'm not knocking ps I play on both and actually think the xbox is a better experience all round. Spending £400 when you could spend £60 just to show Microsoft how you feel, they really won't notice!

All you had to do was get the cable that comes with the rechargeable battery pack. Plug it up, update redownloads, problems solved. I had a controller freak out like that on me too. I plugged it up, and done. It worked again.

Edited by CommanderLouiz: 8/30/2015 4:14:22 AMYou realize that could have happened just as easily with Sony, right?
