I am constantly going positive with a old character of mine my first character. the old character has lots of deaths when i was not as good in the game. is it worth deleting a character to show true kd?
just curious if anyone has done this and is it worth it. i got shit for my bad kd with my warlock but just deleting and starting over would give me a positive kd . i have a bad .82. but im constantly going positive. where my newest character is a hunter and has a 1.13.
is this a waste of time to do or are there circumstances where its good so you can shut up people bad mouthing your character?
thanks

2 RepliesI too suffer with caring about my KD. Don't bother deleting the other character. Just work on bringing your KD up over time!

2 RepliesK/D is overrated....people can easily boost their K/D by just quitting when playing someone good and only look for easy match ups...I never quit no more matter who we face, we even faced the #1 player on ps4 (MACM) with a full fireteam in control once and we got wrecked but we kept fighting and never quit

3 RepliesIt won't change your overall kd. That stuff is stored in your grimoire card. You have 22,000~ kills and 25,000~ deaths between your characters.

4 RepliesEdited by 1: 8/27/2015 12:49:32 PMIf you care about K/D that much then I feel bad for you :/ Edit: Apparently I'm a judgmental prick for feeling bad for others...

It's not worth caring about your k/d in Destiny, it's just not a competitive game. Just do what you want to have fun. I'm happy with a 1.6 with double snipes lol. I could do better with blink shotty arc bolt Quickdraw shenanigans, but I really don't care.

No it is not. Plus it's even better to climb from the depths and become decent and have tryhards get pissed that they were bested by someone with a k/d like that. Plus you'll get there eventually. In GOW I went from a .3 to 1.5 in about a year. Keep grinding!

2 RepliesI care about my own KD so I can track my progress. I just like knowing that I'm still improving. For that I use destinyDB.com because I can see my KD for each month. My overall KD is only 1.76 due to the many games I played when I was terrible but I know where I'm at. I know what I do well and where I need lots of work. I'm not really concerned if someone thinks I'm terrible because of my KD is kinda low. Also, if your KD is 1.13 then saying that you're constantly going positive is quite an exaggeration. And let's face, a 1.13 KD is not gonna stop people from thinking that you're terrible. My advice is to just not worry about what other people think and worry more about getting better.

I wouldn't pride yourself on a kd . You and your friends know you know how to play . That's all that really matters . I'm constantly finding new fun ways to die . Screwing around is the only way to have fun in this game anymore.
-
Nope. KD doesn't mean everything.
-
Nah just get it up. My warlocks kd trash but i dont play on it nor do i care but i would just get it higher. And find your beastmode along the way lol
-
I think if one character was really lower then my highest kd character it would be worth it For instance someone mention if someone had 2 characters with 2.0 kd and one with a .5 kd then it would be worth it. it depends how extreme the difference is between the highest and lowest character. im going to tough it out and raise it slowly.

Who cares about KD? It kinda pointless IMO
-
Nah, I use to have like a 0.8 kd on my hunter. Just worked on my skills

1 ReplyEdited by playturn115: 8/27/2015 8:11:48 AMNo . I have raised my kd from 0.66 to 1.2 in 3 months . You can do it too. Just keep practicing.

People can check your KD. Your Grimoire records it.

8 Replieshahahahaha If your K/D is what's important, you're living a very hollow life
-
I did it but if you value you DTR score don't do it.
-
It's a waste of time to do.
-
This game is not competitive why bother no one cares
-
It's a waste Kd doesn't matter

"True KD" is found under grimoire>activities>crucible>crucible introduction

I hear where your coming from. On my main I have a .95 kd but being that I started with a .32 I don't think that's too bad. I was horrible at pvp when the game came out but I kept trying. Now going below a 1.2 is a rarity. Luckily I have one character that I've only played a few pvp matches with so raising his KD to something half way respectable shouldn't be difficult.

1 ReplyLol,the real question is do you really care what some anonymous Andy has to say about your KD? (Like I say with other though,by posting this you've already answered the question)
-
Do what I do man say -blam!- everyone else and just save those bad ass video clips when you have a stand out game. Yea you can go positive almost every match but when you have a 20.5 kdr save that shit just to remind yourself you can be awesome as -blam!- when you really want to be.

Deleting the character will clean up your KD on this site but DestinyTracker retains the KD info under TrueSkill on Playlists so it doesn't completely go away but your overall KD will remove the character who is being deleted totals.
