Check it out super interesting.
Edit: Great comments players. There is still some love for Bungie out there and some appreciation for what they are trying to do. I for one am excited and can't wait for TTK.
Edit: YT Link for everyone just posted 3 hours ago. https://youtu.be/vN01zxcXVhQ
Edit: New article from Game informer as well with Creative Director Luke Smith, have a read.

Well, I for one enjoyed it. Don't to much see developers of other games doing stuff like this as often as Bungie.
-
I love destiny so much that video made me cry happy tears
-
This may be off topic, but where was that guardian in the vault? Was it at the main way/cliff to the gorgon maze and chest after templar? May just be me holding on to hope for finding out more secrets for that damn place.
-
That was great! More of this, please!
-
Glad they stated all of this and realize that the -blam!-ed up. Now what they need to do is realize that if there is 50 posts saying the same thing, you ask yourself "is this one of those band aids that needs to be ripped off" rather than "oh this must be broken let's change it without thinking"
-
Well....... I want a Hive t-shirt.
-
That was interesting, actually. Thanks :)
-
Well now, there's a very interesting video
-
Good video.

They are talking like they are getting their shit together, but talk is cheep, a few days after TTK drops and the reviews roll in, that's when all of their good or bad shit comes to the forefront. I'm not hating on Destiny, I think it's hella fun to play, but it needs to improve so so so much more to be what it was promised to be.

Edited by Ghost J34: 8/27/2015 3:40:59 AMLol@anyone who thinks this is some sort of sincere apology rather than a marketing ploy. Way too many teenagers that are naive about how the real world, particularly the business world, operates. Bungie can and will say whatever they legally can to hype/sell their game. Bungie was all too happy to take your $100 while they tried to "fix" their mistakes in the meantime.
-
The key to me, was how they completely missed the Destiny Forums. Reddit. Planet Destiny. Those they read. They need to get the -blam!- off of Reddit and pay attention to the community they have here. This is the first point of contact for new players, not those sites.
-
Basically just said, "hey people that only bought vanilla, come buy 3 more expansions. Our game plays like you would expect a videogame to progress now"
-
BRING PRIVATE MATCHMAKING TO DESTINY -blam!-ING DO IT!
-
No bungie can't take vacations they need to work on destiny 24/7
-
Nope. Bungie doing PR. Good one too.
-
I goofed up with age thingy and now I can't watch it :(
-
Is it on youtube cus gameinformer load times suck dick
-
Did anyone actually watch the vid or just listen? At somewhere between 7:30 and 8 mins in there was a clip of a hunter in the Crota raid invisible carrying some sort of ball over the bridge. Possible Crota raid upgrade? Also at 10 mins in if shows a guardian in the aroedrome and he's using what looks like an upgraded icebreaker. Anyone else see this?

Edited by ozkarezko: 8/27/2015 3:46:56 AMBlows my mind that they took a tear to realize that they delivered garbage and it should have been better. And their right that we're mad about it. Their "bag o tricks" as they called it from yesteryear won't work with a game thats non linear. You can't just say hey were doing stuff but you gotta wait to see what it is and if you don't like it tough shit. Not in a game like this. There's way to many variables as they should know. I fully expect the next one to be to way better than destiny 1. Now that they had their pee pees smacked and learned their lesson. The probationary period is over.
-
So they admit they f***ed up and yet they are still making us pay $40?? And your character will NEVER be as cool as the Chief, sorry bud.
-
Edited by DeusFever: 8/27/2015 5:02:11 AMFrom Noseworthy on fan reaction:
I love playing destiny, but I hate that it's not better
Luke Smith mentioned the disheartening drop off when players hit level 20 and didn't know how to continue leveling up, and how they want those players to come back with The Taken King. Let's be honest here, those aren't the kind of players who will pay $40 for DLC. Don't alienate your hardcore fans.
-
Nope. Didn't see an apology. I can wait until TTK launches to decide whether or not they're actually paying attention to us or not. But, I don't think we'll evet get a sincere explanation for what happened prior to launch.
