Check it out super interesting.
Edit: Great comments players. There is still some love for Bungie out there and some appreciation for what they are trying to do. I for one am excited and can't wait for TTK.
Edit: YT Link for everyone just posted 3 hours ago. https://youtu.be/vN01zxcXVhQ

Loved Destiny. Will continue to love it. Year one player shaped destinys future. All the feedback and suggestions we gave them are being put into play. Even all the whines, complaints and rants are being noticed. And judging by year two, Destiny really looks like it's shaping up to be the game we wanted since launch. Year one had flaws, but it still was pretty good. And year two really is some the things Destiny was missing since launch.

As strange as it sounds, i'll give them a thumbs up on admitting their screw ups. Companies don't often do that, and when they do it is in a controlled and limited fashion using intentionally obscurantist language. My favorite piece was them admitting they could no longer be glib or mysterious in their messages. Bravo on realizing that practice was infuriating.

You know, If there's one characteristic that I can appreciate in anybody, it is the ability to acknowledge failure. Call me a sheep, but with this interview, I think Bungie is being completely honest. They're right - there is no playbook on how to write a game like Destiny. The reason why we can't classify Destiny as a certain genre is because it doesn't really fit any one label. The fact that they have become aware of their mistakes tells me that there is only room for improvement from here. I always like to think about how rushed Halo 2 was, and how Bungie managed to turn the franchise around.

It's Activisions fault

Bungie has always been pretty forthcoming about mistakes they feel they've made. Eventually. Halo 2, for example...

I, for one, am pleased to hear them so clearly acknowledge that they have heard and understand many of the things the community has most complained about. When you hear nothing, or when they just try to put positive "spin" on everything and pretend all is perfect, then you begin to lose hope that they are even listening. This is a step in the right direction. The next step is actually making changes or improvements based on that information.

They didn't take a picture of the good side of my neck beard

They needs that money

HA! My guardian will be way cooler than the Chief when pigs fly. Lol interview.

I wish bungie would do more videos like this, shows some good transparency on their part.

The beta is almost done!

All Bungie staff are dedicated and into the game. Eric Osborne - community lead, stands out (4 mins in). They all said we are listening, but I think he gets it more than the others. Bungie, allow Eric to take a bigger role in dealing with the community. Sometimes it feels like the developers can't see the forest pass the trees.

LOVE when they say we aren't taking your favorite weapon and then WOOSH it off the table... yeah well that's what they're doing. I see no good change.
-
Too many changes. Too much Gearicide. I'll be looking forward to the inevitable Destiny Classic. #wejustneededmorecontent

Good to see my efforts kept this tread up :D

-
So pretty much what it comes down to imo 2.0 is actually 1.0? Year 1 actually TESTiny?
-
All good changes are about to drop! Excited

Someone bump for later please.

Did anyone notice Deej saying the community acting like " shareholders " was that a snide remark at the community ?
