It's plain and simple 99.99% of Japanese games are shit. The ones that actually have a sliver of hope usually are kicked to the curb for something more ludicrous. There are a few exceptions to this rule how ever most notably shadow of the colossus. What are your thoughts? Coming to rage on me?

Uhhhhh Pokemon is a Japanese game and it's a pretty solid franchise
What are your thoughts?
TL: DR
OP muted
I hope the Japanese get over it, it must be hard to read your harsh statement
-
It's all personal opinion man, don't try to start an arguement please, it only makes you look like a douchebag
-
Most people who are really into games would disagree. I personally could care less except for a few games.
-
What about MGS?
-
I'd ask what do you find bad about them? Controls, cultural references, style?
-
This is why we needed to wait till our bombs were more powerful
-
Ya damn them for giving us Mario, final fantasy, dark souls!! Lol. All hail North American developers for giving us games like Too Human. Har har har.
-
Pretty much all Nintendo games are fine though.
-
IMPOSSIBRU!!!

Bad b8

Tch Filthy Gaijin.

Considering the history and foundations of the gaming industry it's ridiculous to say you have all Japanese developers. Bloodborne and Dark Souls are more popular examples of recent big name Japanese titles. The problem that's easily seen no is many of the titles being produced in Japan, simply aren't being localized here. And unfortunately there has been a change of focus for many Japanese devs when it comes to what audience they want to focus on. But many things tie into that, like shift in cultural aspects, change in market preferences, etc. I would say their games aren't terrible but more niche than your generic shooter. A lot of history and creativity comes out of Japan.
-
I'm just waiting for MGS5. Can't think of any other games that are good though
-
Wrong, lots of Japanese games are critically acclaimed.

Edited by Kankunation: 8/24/2015 10:01:28 PMDepends on what you mean by Japanese games, because they make such a wide range of games that you can't really generalize them. Dark souls is as much a Japanese game as final fantasy. Pokemon and mario is Japanese but so is nearly every visual novel. You can't just generalize saying you hate games because they come from japan, then you might as well hate all of Sony and Nintendo. It would be best if you elaborated.

I'm the opposite, but I mainly like roleplaying games, especially turn-based ones.
-
What about something like the devs for Naruto Ultimate ninja storm? It's a pretty solid fighting game and it got me into naruto
-
But the food is great:))))))
-
I like them
-
I think their games (mostly RPGs) have too much of an anime feel to them now days. It turns me off of them. I like the old stuff, although it was still an issue then, just not as bad.
-
The Japanese make jrpgs. Therefore they are the best.
-
I mean the only thing I dislike about them is their obsession with turn based strategy xD
-
Edited by Doc: 8/24/2015 5:47:01 PMWell there's many good ones, and to name a recent one, Bloodborne
-
They aren't shit just made for a different audience
