If you hold the trigger when firing the scorch cannon the missile doesn't explode until you let go.

Level 34 using scorch cannons 2 clear out half health dregs that i am shooting... ~[i]TheGreatNike[/i]

This is something that should be common knowledge, but I still see 34s just letting it explode on impact. I've never really cared to use it in PoE, so I don't know the figures, but I now that in patrols holding the trigger has the potential to increase the damage from around 3400 (excluding impact damage) to 13000.

There's a timer on it, with an audio cue for when it is about to self-detonate. Of late, I've noticed that sometimes, when you let it self detonate, a second rocket will Fire. As if controller thinks you let go of trigger for a second.
