They will still be useable, if not some of the best, in year one activities. Plus they will always be useable in regular crucible.

Edited by Bizzerker_Bauer: 8/23/2015 7:20:33 PMYeah, and year one greens are still usable in level 12 missions. How many people are going back and doing those? Well, that's what year one activities will be now. They'll give no rewards and there will be higher leveled gear you can use that will work better for it, but if you choose to go back and play them again you can probably complete with lower leveled gear. The question is why you would want to?

Edited by Phathas: 8/23/2015 6:12:17 AMNot for high end year 1 activities. Ever noticed a vandal will die in Patrol to a single hand cannon shot to the head, but not when you go do a mission of like.. 30? Attack doesn't go high enough to meet the prerequisite number to do the maximum possible damage to higher level targets. So back in vanilla destiny, 300 attack wasn't enough to do maximum damage to lv 30 enemies. Newer weapons will take their place. Most people won't use phased out weapons in PvP. Maybe now and then for nostalgia but most people will seek out the new best gun that'll work for level adjusted content. These are just lousy excuses to try and justify their arbitrary decisions. There's no way Last Word or Red Death should have been brought forward over Vex and Necrochasm anyway.
