If you kill a Goblin or Hobgolin just as they're doing their melee attack, their hand will still be glowing even when dead. Also, if you use a warlock Voidwalker melee on a dead goblin that didn't die to a critical shot, you can melee the goblin's head off and see it disintegrate into void.
