Buffing Hardlight/Necrochasm? What was the point?
Can someone rationally explain to me why they bothered to buff Hardlight/Necrochasm while nerfing G-horn/Black Hammer if [b]none[/b] of these weapons will be upgrade-able to Y2 attack values in the first place?
Yeah, I know they can still be used in normal Crucible. However, myself and many others will not see a point in acclimating ourselves to a weapon set-up that can't be used when it matters, such as in IB/ToO. These buffs are virtually pointless.
I cannot fathom half of the decisions Bungie has made for TTK. It's a joke.

Was pretty excited when I saw TTK reveal at E3. Rewatched the trailer a bunch of times, watched some Twitch streams to see what people were saying. Planned on pre-ordering and playing it the minute it dropped. Since then, Bungie has given me one reason after another to reconsider. It seems like every week, Deej...the Bungie employee who is so into Destiny that he never plays it, or some other mouthpiece goes out there and alienates a large group of loyal fans. They would have been better off if they would have just said nothing until Sept 15. I'm probably 50/50 now on whether or not to buy it. Not real appreciative of having the last few months basically wasted. Honestly, I probably need to go to the gym more or spend more time with my gf anyway instead of playing a video game with a weak story, insufficient server support, from a company that takes its fans for granted. So maybe I should being saying thanks instead.

1 ReplyI don't know dude.. I just don't know. I don't think many people will play the old content much, even new players. Why play stuff that's in the middle of the tier the can't be upgraded? The only viable option I see they have for keeping people in the vault and the hellmouth is to give us transmogrifiction

I was ok losing all of my legendary weapons...but not the exotics. It's not like Hardlight or the Nechrochasm and things like that are game breaking (to some) like Gjallarhorn and Icebreaker...and since those two are being nerfed anyway, why not? I see no reason for the exotics that we spent so long collecting to be left behind. They're exotics! This isn't something that I expected, I genuinely thought that Bungie would keep all of our exotics relevant through Destiny 1.

They will still be relevant in year 1 content since damage is capped at 365 for year 1.

21 RepliesThis. Why are any exotics being left behind? Who decided what deserved to be moved forward and what didn't? Why weren't any of us players asked what [b][i]WE WANT[/i][/b]? I was really looking forward to TTK and was even willing to accept losing all of my favorite legendaries. But this? All that work to obtain all of these exotics and only a small will actually be relevant? What's worse than that is that neither I nor any player get to choose what moves forward. Knowing Bungie the majority of the exotics moving forward will be the trash such as Dragon's Breath and the No Land Beyond. I don't know why they can't just keep upgrading our exotics for ten years while adding new ones. That would be tight.

Regular crucible where you can get larger maps/more gametypes/more variety in weapon builds/no rage from losing.....that's where I actually enjoy crucible. I'll take it!

Remember were changing our leveling system. So people will be moving through content at different speeds and such. All the weapons that will outclass our current gear won't start showing up until like 34+ , you can get hard light and these earlier exotics as early as 20 and the raid weapons around 26-32. So those weapons will be viable as they go through the content. We've gone through all the content and already be moving on to the new weapons so of course this shit doesn't apply to us. Well be moving on to new things and if we use nechrochasm or hard light, its because we want to use them in old content or regular crucible for shits and giggles.
