Actually, I'm of the opinion Shotguns are just about right. It's Hand Cannons that have far too much accuracy and stopping power out beyond 25 yards. However, as a general rule, I am of the belief that no FPS game developer has ever spent more than 5 minutes on a gun range. So,...welcome to fantasy land.

The best soloution for blink Is after a couple seconds you can shoot your weapons. This way blink shotgunners are at a disadvantage

Is the shotgun range really too big? Look at other games like bf and the range is way longer. Its unbalanced as it is now, but really how short should the range be, melee range? I don't think so. Better to adjust ammo spawn even more, like they did in clash recently. Every shot counts.

1 Replyblink needs adjusting. being a move with no startup and too fast to respond to on reaction. the only answer to being blinked on is to blink out. plus stupid shotty range. u could say slide under the blinker but sliding requires a start up run and not invincible like blink. blink is like a shoulder charge with no startup and invincibility frames

6 RepliesShotgun range is part of the problem The other part was the brutal nerfs to auto rifles and fusion rifles. In the pre-patch 1.1.1 Crucible, shotgun rushers usually died when confronted by good players. Because ARs (in the hands of someone who is a good shot) could reach out and kill a rusher before he ever got into shotgun range. Even if you werent' a good primary weapon shot, you could do the same by switching to a fusion rifle. But when patch 1.1.1 fell, there was no longer a primary weapon in the game that would allow yout stand your ground and kill a shotgun rusher before they got into shotgun range. The rushers quickly realized that they no longer had to respecti primary weapon fire...and they just went nuts. This is part of the reason why most everyone (now) runs around with hand cannons and shotguns. Because people figured out that the best primary weapon against shotgun rushers was a hand cannon...and (after Felwinter's dropped) your best secondary weapon was a longer-ranged shotgun. TLDR: The problem isn't blink. The problem is a meta and philsophy of map design that doesn't exact any penalties from those players who want to run around and shotgun everything.

[b]BLINK[/b] is the dam problem and shotguns make it worse kids literally will sit up an blink over you (radar can't detect.. all it does is highlight you) get shotguned run straight towards you slide.. blink.. then shotgun shotgun Melee blink backwards Melee shotgun blink backwards shoot shotgun miss so they blink back and throw a cheap ass bolt nade blink from Titan smash blink from shoulder charge blink from Rocket launcher get a sniper body shot blink back and shoot you with last word or thorn blink forward Meele blink back so you miss then blink forward and hit you again blink from Bolt nades literally blink from everything

4 RepliesBlink is BAD game design people. In a single player game, who cares. But seriously look within your brain and think logically instead of emotionally for one second. Is it fair that i can basicaly teleport around a map? You have an invisibility frame nobody else has. If this shit was in halo, the dev team wouldnt been casterized by the public.

the nature of this simple ability has caused a lot of problems in the meta world. I'm not on either side due to the fact I use all three classes and shotgun. That said there are multiple ways to manipulate the system with each class and by nerfing blink it eliminates two in the process along with shotgun nerf. I'm sure there will be newer ways found in the ttk expansion that will also require attention..

I'm literally fukking pissed about this shit. Nerfing guns? Ok fine some guns [u]are[/u] op. But abilities??? That's too damn far and undercuts an entire class of players. When does it stop then??? How many other abilites will you nerf or water down until we literally are throwing marshmellows and instead of meleeing we're giving hugs. It's a god damn outrage. People are going to hate things and rage in pvp it's a fact. I hate warlock melee range and Titan cheap ass shoulder charge. I don't think they should be fukking nerfed though!!! Maybe now I do. If this nerf actually happens I will be calling for nerfs to other classes and we will see how far your nerf train actually goes. [b][i][u]an outrage.[/u][/i][/b]

Shotguns like Felwinters and Matador only highlight the blink problem. The problem is being able to close a gap in an instant and/or the ability to nullify defenses

1 ReplyOf course now this. Now don't get me wrong I hate the blink as much as the next guy but thats the only thing that makes the hunters good. I play as gunslinger and when the ashes to asset perk glitch came along...finally! Something the golden gun has good but nope got patched in 4 days when everything else takes months. I'm no blink shotgunner I despise it but when its nerfed what do hunters have? Nothing.
