With Taken King Uncommon and Rare gear outclassing the Year 1 legendaries, what's the plan to distinguish them from Year 2 gear to indicate the drastic power difference? We know they'll be a tiny Taken King logo in the upper right similar to the expansion designations but during those expansion roll-outs, Vanilla legendary gear was still more powerful than Dark Below and House of Wolves rares which meant the purple color and description as, "legendary" appropriate. Given the influx of new players Taken King will bring, won't the odd gear progression from legendary back to uncommon be confusing and counter-intuitive? Unless they retroactively convert existing year one legendary drops to "common" which I highly they'd do, they should at the very least make Year 2 gear have a different color scheme. What's the point of having a Tiered weapon and armor classification from white to green to blue to purple if it stops having any meaning?
