Halo 2 on the PC with the Half-Life 2 game engine (Source)
If Bungie made Halo 2 on the PC with the Half-Life 2 game engine (called Source) i would at that point in my 22 years of living on this earth absolutely need to buy the most expensive computer to play what I am declaring right now as the best game ever made....ever. So bungie do us all a favor.....and make it happen (PLEASE).
P.S. - As amazing as HL2 is going to be I am still not moved to buy a computer to play video games period (my computer sucks....I couldn't even play the high res. trailer for Halo 2) yet I would buy a new one simply to play what I am calling the best game to ever grace this earth.

Why would Bungie liscence the HL2 engine for HALO 2, it wouldn't make sense, especially since they would have to completely redevelop the game.

I don't know what to think about Halo 2 for the PC and Mac. If Halo 2 is a big time seller, then I don't see any reason why Microsoft shouldn't release it for the PC. If the money is there to be made then they may as well cash in on it. But when it comes down to it, Microsoft should be concentrating more on selling the Xbox than they are selling the PC's. And what better way to sell more Xbox's than to have one of the more anticipated games of all time released on it. The argument can both ways, but I think we are just better sitting back, relaxing, and waiting for Bungie to come out and annouce what they are going to do.

Bungie could do that or they could make the game from scratch using the Source engine. That way the game would be more than just a port from the Xbox. And it would be so beautiful...wow.

Shhhhhhh Halo 2 on pc would use HALO 2 ENGINE I think thats pretty obvious. dang...
