Personally, I think a Destiny e-sport tournament would be awesome to watch, but obviously some rules and regulations would need to be enforced.
Here's my idea:
- 3v3 games. best of 1 rounds played on inferno skirmish. best of 3 quarter/semi rounds played on salvage. best of 5 final round played on elimination. map picked at random
- teams must consist of one of each class
- only 1 exotic primary, special, and heavy weapon allowed per team
- no restrictions on armor, EXCEPT that in the final round only one crest of alpha lupi is allowed per team, meaning that either the titan or the hunter can wear it, but not both
- special ammo spawns 3 times in a game, and heavy spawns once
- supers charge at 50% the usual rate. players do not drop orbs from using supers
Rewards:
- All teams that make it to the semifinals will have their choice of a code for any locked shader, such as blacksmith, superblack, sparklepony, and eye of the mad god.
- Along with the usual trophy, the winning team of the tournament will receive an emblem consisting of the tournament logo with their team symbol below it, a shader that they personally design, and the exotic ship currently available only to Bungie employees.

What do you think guys? Is this a good idea, or does Destiny have too many variables to make an e-sport tournament work? If you have any extra ideas for a tournament, please share!
