Love it.

As much as I feel that 343i is perpetually screwing up with Halo and just all around not doing the series any favors when it comes to the story, I will give them props for getting the music back on track and making it actually sound like Halo again. This is what Halo 4 should have sounded like, as good as it's soundtrack was, it never really sounded like Halo, to me it always felt like the soundtrack for another series had been taken and pasted into the game. The only pieces in Halo 4 that did feel like they belonged or sounded like Halo were the ones that were composed by the guy who's composing and directing Halo 5's music.

Edited by Magiktako: 8/12/2015 4:02:47 AMDAMN! Such an improvement compared to Halo 4! Sounds like something that actually belongs in Halo! I'm surprised that it turned out this way since they dropped Neil. I have a feeling that they are heading the right direction with this one. They just need to have split-screen and hopefully some better-looking armors (especially shoulders and chest-pieces), then I'll be really interested.
Just a side note: I'm so happy that they didn't reuse Halo 4's opening- never really liked it.
Edited by Unyielding: 8/11/2015 1:44:10 AMKazuma just gained all of my respect. He really does know how to compose a Halo game.

I also forgot to mention that at 6:20 when Halo 4's theme and Halo 3's theme are blended I get the biggest chills. Oooo bby
-
This has been confirmed. Tbh it sounds amazing.
-
First 10 seconds is already better than all of the halo 4 soundtrack.
-
Improvement over that awful soundtrack 4 had.
-
I teared up a little bit.
-
That's awesome =}

It stays true to the halo roots yet it distinguishes itself as a game taking classic to modern. This music highlights the mystery of the halo lure and the emotions of its story. I can only think of what we can expect in the story, cant wait for halo 5 and -blam!- destiny.
-
I heard better sounds coming out of a litter box! This is pure garbage.
-
Did u find it on game informer, i did, if you still have the halo 5 beta installed, than this is the music that will play
-
muh halo feel

I listened to this earlier, and was blown away by how amazing they sounded. I'm glad they dropped Neil Davidge. He was a great composer, but I just don't think he quite grasped the Halo style as much as Kazuma Jinnouchi did. All in all, very happy so far.

Edited by Friendlystu: 8/11/2015 8:51:31 PMSounds like this guy has hit the right marks with the Suspense building, Eerie moments overall smoothness and being both familiar as well as different to overall give more impact when the Crescendo plays out.
My Film Studies critique is starting to show
It feels like a Halo 3 OST, which is a good thing. And they've also added a new touch to it, which is also great. But I do think it needs more intense sections
