Of all my exotic guns, I've only felt 2 ever justified the single exotic slot for general use - Ice Breaker and Gallajhorn. Other have their uses in specialized spots - Patience and Time invisibility perk is nice, Invective ammo is good for swarms of enemies, as is Midas speed and Red Deaths heal, and of course Thorn's burn. Most of the others feel like a liability, even compared to legendaries. An Exotic primary is a waste without a burn. Secondary with only perk use against minions is useless. Dragons Breath stationary burn orb is not widely usable, and Truth is almost as likely to blow you up as any enemy. All in all exotics are a bust, with the few outliers getting nerfed to bring them back inline. Buff should have gone the other way. Make all exotics something worth equipping, and a step above their legendary counterparts
