True. Performance wise, exotics weapons are no different then legendary weapons. This needs to be corrected. There should be more separation between exotic and legendary weapons. Exotic should be lots stronger

Not a lot stronger, but if you pit two players of the same skill level each with pulse rifles, one has the messenger and one has the red death shall we say, the red death should be able to beat the messenger in one on one combat, not by a landslide, but enough for the legendary weapon to have a decent chance if it hits the target more, and gets more shots into the target.

I don't necessarily agree that they just need to be stronger than legendaries. I think the key to a good exotic is that they need to have abilities that are strong enough that you incorporate them into your play style.
