Why Do People Feel Guilt for Using OP?
Why do people feel guilty about using Thorn, or Viking funeral, or ghorn, or final round in pvp? These guns are in the game. I'm not saying I use them all the time but I do from time to time and I don't give 1 shit about how it makes me look or how others feel about the fact that I'm using them.
Not trying to be a dick. Just sayin.
- Some people have used the term 'abuse'. How is it abuse if it's an option for you to use? Why wouldn't you use it if it works for u?
- Looks like some hate showed up while I was away. All good.
- People, the QUESTION is 'why do some people feel guilty about using op stuff?' Not a debate on whether thorn is op. Of course it is. Just asking about feeling guilty enough not to use it....

I worked my butt off for thorn, so I use it whenever I want. I get bored and change things up though so I don't rely too much on it. Leveling a timur's lash right now. If there are a lot of thorn users I'll bring it out. Just depends on the mood. I suck at pvp anyway so I need all the advantage I can get. Watch out guys, I'm bringing out my thorn to stomp you with my 0.7 kd.

People get mad at it because it's hard to beat. The cry when it kills them but oh well, let them cry. The game has been out long enough that if you play at all you've gotten the chance to have a Thorn, Last Word, lock with Viking Funeral, etc. It's available for any competent player to use. And if it's available and works I'm going to use it. If you don't have it and complain that it's unfair. Sorry. You don't put in enough time to deserve it. Either suffer or earn the right to have the guns. It's not my problem I have the weapons and you don't.

4 RepliesI jumped through hoops to get Thorn. I like Thorn. Nobody's gonna dictate which weapons I can and can't use. They'll be bitching about Hard Light, Necrochasm, Monte Carlo and Suros when 2.0 drops. If it's in the game and I can kill them with it, I'm using it. F*ck'em.

Well final round is abuse if you unload your clip just for final round but if you use those shots firsts then that's not abusing

I have no shame. I final round, use Thorn, rocket launchers with proximity...all things that make winning more likely. I don't play Trials for fun, once I've gone flawless I'm done for the week.

I don't feel bad I'll play with other guns, my scout rifle and sniper...if I keep getting owned I turn up and switch to what they are using shotgun thorn...I'm more pissed then feeling bad, that I have to resort to the meta they have now just to keep up...

2 RepliesWell considering Thorn takes next to no skill to use and do well with, it makes you bad when that's all you ever resort to using. It's a crutch that reduces skill gap and I can't wait for that nerf.

I prefer a challenge, that's all. The good teams I've come across have a good mix of snipers and shottys with maybe 2 thorn users at the most. When I get killed by thorn I think they were just lucky. The fact is, most people use it because they really can't get kills any other way.

1 ReplyI started using Thorn when Trails of Osiris dropped and I use to main Red Death because I honestly hate hand cannons but nothing can currently match Thorn or TLW's time to kill ratio. I hate using them because I am basically forced to use them because of this.

2 RepliesI don't feel guilty about any gun I use. I bought this game and I'm going to play it how I want and I'm gonna play with I want! I think Thorn is a really cool looking gun... but I think The Last Word is a little more unique so I use it. I might not get as many kills/assists with it than I would with Thorn, but I still use TLW because its a gun that I like. Its also not my fault that people blindly run up on me or think its safe to run through a doorway. Of course, in those situations I'm going to use a shotgun because the enemy likely is. In that situation the shotgun is the best bet.

1 ReplyI've never used Viking Funeral in PVP until this IB, and I'll say that it was a good thing to do. So fun to watch their bodies just go [i]bleueughh[/i] on the after-death cam. I don't feel bad about it in Iron Banner. Not one. Damned. Bit.

2 RepliesI use whatever i want, all these people complaining about the nerf are trash because they cant play without using an "OP" gun and the ones happy about the nerf are trash because they cant use regular guns to get a kill. I dominate with a fatebringer against a last word or thorn. Kids just dont have skills lulz

3 RepliesI refuse to use thorn simply because it makes you think your better than you are and you lose your gun skill using it, I know it's op and works for people who are after kds and easy kills but in the long run it won't help, IMO
