I consider myself somewhat in the middle given that I'm a Mexican and therefore a minority like Blacks but albeit a bit more successful than most of my Mexican peers, sort of like the Whites. To be honest, I don't believe in race wars or racism. It was certainly true during the 1960s and preceding times. But today I believe that economic status and class is a larger dividing factor and source of tension in our society today than racism is. Now admittedly it may have a disparate affect on certain races, but the racial aspect is just the effect of the larger problem and not necessarily the cause. I think that the poor, middle-class, and even traditionally wealthy classes such as doctors and lawyers are being hit hard by the literal 1% of mega-billionaire corporations and businessmen. That is the divide. If some type of apocalyptic 1960s revolution was to happen in America, I really doubt it would be race-based. I strongly believe that it would be more quasi-Marxist in nature, a class-based thing with the 1% being overthrown by everybody. Then everybody dividing further based upon their class with say the traditionally wealthy at the top, the poor at the bottom, and the middle-class split evenly down the middle into either category. To put it bluntly, I could see Black disenfranchised street-gangs aligning themselves with White disenfranchised trailer-trash and biker gangs before I could see them aligning with Cosby-esque successful Blacks. I could similarly see successful Hispanics aligning with successful Whites before Hispanic street gangs and so on. Race is a dying concept, even traditionally racist groups such as White Supremacists have slowly been realizing this. Hence why they have began allowing ALL Whites into their ranks whereas a century ago the Irish, Italians, Slavs, and Greeks weren't regarded as any better than Blacks, and why today many are pushing to open their doors to light-skinned Hispanics. The race-baiters and other progressives don't really care about racism. Otherwise they wouldn't be so silent about the extremely disparate effect that Planned Parenthood and abortion has on minorities. They are just beating a dead horse because there is money to be made from race-baiting. Convince all the Blacks, Mexicans, and other minorities that Whites are the enemy, and they'll vote Democrat. Convince all the Whites that Blacks, Mexicans, and other minorities are a threat to your traditional way of life, and they'll vote Republican. Meanwhile the only true victors are the 1% at the very top which controls both of the parties.
