Dig a hole. Put a cup of dog food in the bottom of the hole. When the dog looks in the hole, shoot or club it in the back of the head. Put the dirt back in the hole.
I watched my dad do this when I was 8. Kinda rough but efficient.

There were actually two dogs. We kept one and named it Lucky. True story.
