So if you like that kind of comedy, you'll like Naked Gun. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles is about the characters. You have two guys who get into a situation where they have to put up with each other, and the comedy comes from their interactions and reactions to the events going on. Spinal Tap is a satirization of rock/metal bands and the documentaries made of them. It's less laugh out loud humor and more subdued, I suppose. Just to clarify further.
