[MENTOR] 07/17/15 - Xûr not selling a gun. (Updated w/ Bungie response)
Hey everybody!
Xûr is not selling a weapon at the moment. To get more information for the community I have reached out to Bungie to find out if this was intentional or not.
I will update this thread as soon as we get any information regarding the lack of a weapon in Xûr's inventory.

3 RepliesWe deserve good items with this inconvenience in the destiny community. "Bungie" has not had there ducks in a row" so to speek. With the fact that the dlc for house of wolves waiting time was extended then now this. This game has been going down hill and I feel bungie should definitely get there ducks in line be for the new dlc comes out..

6 RepliesI think people are being a little harsh. Destiny is a rolling work in progress, constantly changing and improving all the time. All this change is driven by you and I as the community and in my opinion, they have done an excellent job with The Dark Below and House of Wolves. But with such massive changes there is bound to be one slip up or two and it's not like it's happening every week, right? I think games like this where the content is always changing and improving based on constant opinions and feedback from its players is hard to come by. So stop complaining for 5 minutes and remember.. it's just one week. They've already apologized profusely and have promised to rectify it for next week. I have almost all exotic weapons and there is a chance I wouldn't have bought the weapon anyway and I bet I'm not the only one.

The drop rate of everything is based on this system. The exotic drop rate is the same everywhere. So no one in Destiny has earned an exotic, unless a bounty is involved, you earned the weapon by completing the bounty, but receiving the bounty is random, receiving a Gjallarhorn is no different, pure luck. The fact if possible that xur could have sold it, is still in the game and if it happens, it happens

Have a bunch of level 23's running around with gjally, make it even worse. I want people to have to earn it, like me. Suros Regime does not matter or guns like that, but gjally???

bungie is so computer illiterate that they can't even post a weapon for us. Xur roandom generated a gally and since they didn't want every one to buy it they killed the gun he was selling. now no one gets weapons this week. and they aren't going to get weap;ons this week and bungie will get away with it because no one will complain or stop playing

As saddening as this is fellow guardians, all games have issues and with a MMORPG game such as this, it can be difficult to alter. Please stick with destiny as a game and a community who loves the people that play with each other. I personally care for the entire destiny community a great deal. You guys are great. While I may not be a rep, I know how hard their job is. I am not brown nosing it, in any way. I work with games every day. So understand that this job is hard(more so than you think) when ESO was having launch issues they were working 22 hour days almost. I love this game and I love this community. Respawn, and play on guardians.

Thank you for the updates man they are much appreciated but after this and with the planned released patches/buffs/nerfs/updates coming out with the new DLC Bungie can go fook itself honestly....

I have only two questions first is about the pictures and comments from the European servers that were online when xur showed up and multiple people have said he had gally but when it they attempted to buy it they were booted to orbit and on return it was gone. Question two is about bungie being able to safely fix the issue when I remember there was a guy some months ago that somehow figured out how to know exactly what xur was going to sell before he (xur) appeared with his stock? We're they (bungie) not able to fix the issue with his stock then.... it would be really awesome if next week celestial nighthawk wouldn't be in his inventory and that as some sort of our bad we might get some boots (at least a boot engram) and maybe just maybe icebreakeror at least something that hasn't been in his stock in the last month only because I'm starting to feel like strange coins are getting more and more useless...

31 RepliesI have been wanting this gun since before the game, I haven't had it drop for me just yet and I've been playing since day one of the game. Ghost edition and all... You're telling me a Christmas noob has had the chance to savor the taste of the heavenly weapon myth known as the gjallarhorn in its glory days before I even got to taste the glory? I've put so many hours into this game I have every exotic in game except for the gjallarhorn, and now you're saying when I get it it's gonna be a crappy version? No!!!! I deserve a chance to wield the gjallarhorn and all of its stomping power!!!! FTW!!!! Leave gjally alone!!!!
