You do realize they said that if you have Destiny and the 2 DLCs that you will be able to buy Taken King for $20 right?
English
-
I read it man and they meant only the little emotes and class items and stuff
-
They said the Taken King DLC. Just reread it.
-
Though that would be cool, i don't think they ever said that.
-
I reread it and he's refering the $20 price to the digital content that is included in the ttk collectors addition pack. In other words he's saying, you can buy the $40 ttk dlc without vanilla game bundle and if you want the extra digital shit that comes with the collectors addition, u can pay 20 bucks for that extra shit. So yeah, they're not that cool.
-
Look in part one of last weeks patch notes, after the apology by Luke Smith. They did say that.
-
When? I'm definitely still being charged $40 at the moment
-
Don't buy it now, when it comes out you will be able to purchase the Taken King for $20.
-
Will I be able to get the preorder benefits (the bonuses that preorderers get)?
-
You don't get bonuses if you pre-order....
-
What about all the 'Year One' gear? That'll be available to be obtained in year two?
-
You get that just by having the game before Taken King comes out. No preorder of the DLC is required to get anything.
-
Really? I thought that you had to have TTK purchased or preordered before year two in order to make that happen. I'll search through Bungie's weekly updates and see if I can find something to support your claims. Though I am giving you the benefit of the doubt, I'd just like to have something I can show my friends
-
It's all good. I hope you find what I'm telling you that way I don't look like a liar.
-
You don't. Thanks for taking the time to comment by the way. As for your claim, thinking that it seemed familiar, I checked an update from a few weeks back that it invloves. It says: "We're actively working to make the digital content from the Collector's Edition available in a $20 upgrade bundle, available on 9/15/2015" I'm not sure if this is what you are going off but unfortunately this is only referring to the 3 Shaders, Emotes, and Class Items that were going to be available exclusively to the owners of Destiny's new bundle. The same update states that the 'Digital Download' (for TTK) is for existing players who already own the game and both dlc. What's also unfortunate is that by following the link that bungie provided you'll see that "The Taken King: Digital Download" is currently being sold for $40 with no indication of a price reduction. The good news is that Bungie will be giving their "thank you", in the form of their Year One items to players who already own the game and both dlc, free off charge. Long story, short: I'll keep searching for evidence to support your claim but it doesn't look like I'm going to find what I'm hoping for. If we're lucky, I'm wrong
-
My friend told me about this but I couldn't find anything on it.can you show me a link so I can tell the rest of my friends?
-
It's on a weekly update where Luke Smith apologizes. I can't link it because I'm on my phone.
-
Alright thanks man. I kinda skipped over it as soon as I saw like smith
-
He's not a bad guy. Just someone who developed the game. And when you make something you get attached to it. And he was attached with it so much that he was seen as an a-hole.
