I have always wondered, and searched, for how the ownership of Bungie is broken down.
I know that they are an independent affiliate of Microsoft; but does that mean that they're wholly owned by Microsoft with independent operating rights?
Or are they privately owned? (Because I know that Bungie isn't publicly traded).
I know there's a Bungie wiki, and lots of info found on Google, but it's not concise on the ownerships structure. If anyone can shed some light would be awesome.
Posted by: Firebird347 If I remember correctly everyone who works at bungie as a full time employee owns a piece of it. As such, they're motivated to do an even better job because the better the game does, beside just paying their salary, increases the value of the piece of the company that they own. Also, "Bungie, LLC" is an alias / working name of Arete Seven. My guess would be the higher ups at bungie all own a piece of it, since the seperation from microsoft. From what I know its the way many LLC have worked so most likely, people like Harold Ryan and others of similiar stature actually 'own' the company.

LLC is Limited Liability Corporation. But, that just means they're a seperate legal and financial entity from the owning company and/or persons. I want to know who the owning company and/or persons are.

All I know is they are a "LLC" but I don't know much about how that is set up. Maybe you could google LLC and see what comes up.
