To all who "Hate" on the Titans, give this a read.

In the last few weeks, you've possibly seen more posts about Titans needing nerfs, being OP, blah blah. I see those posts and can't believe that's peoples thoughts. First, I main a titan. I have a warlock, and have had a Hunter, all maxed level, so I'm not outrageously biased. So, I wanted to set some things straight concerning Titans. Most threads are based off of PvP and the titan super, fist of havoc. Everyone calls it, fist of panic. Sure, some people waste a super on one person, Warlocks can and sometimes do the same with Nova. I've seen a lot of posts complaining of the range and aerial effect of the fist of havoc. Firstly, FoH is a fast casting, small area clearing super. If your close to where it is casted, you will die. You should die. Also, people complain about the aerial damage. Striker is a arc/lightning based subclass. The FoH is literally a lightning bolt striking the Titan as he slams the ground. So therefore, if your above it you should take damage and/or be killed. If all you had to do was jump and survive, then Titans would be all but worthless in PvP. Defender is very rarely useful, only when used correctly can it be effective. Titans are at a severe disadvantage in PvP compared to the other classes. Titans have maybe 2 or 3 exotics that are worth using, one good grenade, a good close range super that is perfect at countering self res and arc blade, shoulder charge, (which is very unreliable and takes a short time to charge up, and fades rather quickly. Outside of that, there's nothing beneficial to being a titan in PvP. Lets look at this. Warlocks have: Sunsinger: 1.)Self res 2.)over shield off of a melee Hit, not even a kill 3.) 2 grenades 4.) Burn damage off of melees and grenades potentially 5.) Fusion grenades and Firebolt grenades Void Walker: 1.) Nova bomb, basically a thrown Fist of Havoc 2.) Ranged melee that gives health back, movement and reload speed increases from a melee Hit, again not a melee kill 3.) Axion Bolts 4.) Supers can track enemies or have larger explosions. Warlocks also have more/better exotic armor pieces. Hunters have: Gunslinger: 1.) Best PvP super 2.) Super with range and a long duration 3.) Ranged melee Bladedancer: 1.) Arc blade, long duration and high mobility super 2.) Invis abilities to remain off of radar 3.) Ranged melee that can deal extra damage with a hit to the back. Hunters also arguably have the best PvP exotics in the game. Titans have: Striker: 1.) Fist of Havoc, fast casting, small zone damage 2.) Lightning grenade, and maybe flash bang when used correctly 3.) Shoulder Charge, very unreliable and short duration 4.) Unstoppable, can't be killed while casting super Defender: 1.) Ward of Dawn. When coupled with helm of saint-14, can be effective in very rare, select scenarios. 2.) Magnetic grenade. I tried to list every perk for each sub class that is useful in PvP, and I will respectfully debate with anyone who says Titans are, "More OP" than any other class. I play a decent amount of crucible, and get a trip to mercury a few times on the weekends. I don't consider myself an amazing PvP player, but I know I'm fairly good. But based off of exotic armor capabilities and sub class abilities, Titans are at a significant disadvantage. With supers, I still say titans have the least worrisome supers in comparison, but I also believe every super is over powered. Its a Super. It should be powerful. Hence the name.... Super. Thanks for the read, share your thoughts and lets get a decent discussion going!

  • Thank you for you input. It's nice to see someone who thinks logically instead of just being nerf crazy. The classes are all opposing in there own way and it depends on who is using them and how there used. I have all 3 classes and maxed out and all I really play is pvp and I believe that there all good. People just need to take the time to sit down and get to know the class how devise a tactic that suits there play style.

  • Thank you OP :) I also main a Titan and people really don't realize how (I won't say "bad") crappy we have it. Hell, I use my super at a max of two times each match, sometimes I don't use it at all. For me, I prefer Shoulder Charge over Unstoppable, and I am loving the Peregrine Greaves. Unfortunately, this leaves me at a disadvantage. It's hard to kill Warlocks or Hunters while they're using their super. If a Titan uses FoH without Unstoppable, they can get killed with regular weapons, and a shotgun. Then there's the Defenders, who's biggest enemies are Gunslingers, Voidwalkers, and Strikers. Yes, I like to pop Bubbles. I play a lot of Control. Bubbles are next to useless when a Striker spots it.

  • Why are people complaining about titans they only get you if you're there and in a closed area a narrow area but all you can do is blink or run away! That's what I'd when gunslinger I turn around and sprint I don't do look back while walking away you'll be too slow

  • I don't mind titans because their super is really entry for panic situations so they generally only get one or 2 kills unlike blade dancer who doesn't have to 100 percent commit to using a arc blade since he can move

    • I agree 100% because I main a Titan ... However I main that class mostly for PvE where it can take a huge hit and keep going! I have recently got my warlock with Voidwalker up to par and I have found him very useful in pvp so I don't get all the hate for Titans.

    • We went from complaining about everything that has to do with Hunters to complaining about Striker Titans. Clearly, people saw that Hunter's were "OP" based on how much it was being complained about, similar to shotguns and hand cannons, so everyone started using it. The people who stayed true to their Titans are now considered "OP" because "OH EM GEE, GUIZ HE STOHPED MAI SUPR/KIL SPRAY!!11!1!" Because, let's be honest, the hate for Strikers came right out of left field and all the Hunter hate has suddenly stopped. The only things that needs complained about are weapon balance and infinite supers with all the bubbles, but that can be stopped with a Nova Bomb/Fist of Havoc.

    • Titans are great, they are the fastest class in the game and the Striker subclass is very good in PvP. With their Fist of Havoc and lightning grenade they are beast, they are the only class that can wipe out the whole team with their nades :)!! The only downside is that the Defender subclass is a bit lackluster in PvP, but they componsate that by being the best subclass in PvE

    • I was playing as a blade dance like 15-20ft above a titan with my super and uses fist of panic and it just wipes me out I'm sorry out of all subclasses fist of havoc is the most annoying to face. Even more when u got unstoppable and shoulder charge

The Armamentarium is honestly the best exotic in the game for PvP amount all classes. You can carry more ammo for Heavy off of a Chestpiece, which only exists in Two other Chestpieecs. Not to mention the ability to carry Two Lightning Grenades, which are arguably the most powerful Grenade in the game besides maybe Arcbolt. Fist of Havoc can be used in two ways: -(I've rarely seen people use it this way) use it for a good reason, like popping a Bubble with the whole enemy team in it or shutting down a Super. -(All the time) Turning a corner, seeing a guy, panicking therefor killing one guy off of your super. I, however, continue to not have a serious issue with Titans or any Class at that. Shotguns IMO are the most broken thing in the Meta right now, even more so than Thorn.

          • Titans aren't OP in the slightest. This is due to defender's lack of fire power. Just my opinion

          • Having two Titans, I've noticed this issue as well. However, I've discovered a nice equalizer for Titans in the Ruin Wings. No other class has anything similar. And, given the sheer power level offered by Heavy Weapons, I think that it would be a mistake to discount the class completely. Remember, less of the most dominant characetrs are Titans than are Hunters and Warschlocks, but some of the ARE Titans. That means there's potential in them, for the person who knows how to draw it out.

              • How about this. Titan has its advantage Hunter has its advantage Warlock also has its advantage Destiny is a fair game you guys (me included) just think other classes are more OP, because we are fighting equal match and enemy got flip of the coin.

                • They're a little less powerful than the other classes, but they're far from "significantly disadvantaged." Atm Warlock is the most powerful, especially with The Ram, but they still don't have a "significant advantage" either. The classes are pretty closely balanced imo. I play them all in Crucible (Inferno Control when up or regular Control usually). Edpecially my Titan since I just got him leveled up after sitting on hold for maybe 7 months now. I've had some of the best moments in Crucible on my Titan though. Just the other day I killed the enemy team and got the Reaper medal for it with my FoH just after they picked up the heavy ammo. I don't have Inmost Light either. Just using Ruin Wings for now.

                  • Cool story man. I agree. Personally I hate the titan (playing as titan) has horrible double jump. Easily get shot out of air, low agility and so on.
