From my understanding, it has been confirmed that all the gear that we have worked so hard to obtain and level will become useless in the taken king expansion. Your armor and weapons will be unable to reach the new light level.
I'm sorry but did I miss something here? They JUST fixed the problem of us not being able to use our favorite weapons and now they're reintroducing the problem? I thought maybe they learned a few things but apparently not
Since a lot of you are coming up with the same idiotic response I give you this statement: maybe they should make gear worth using so that the fatebringer or g horn isn't such an obvious choice. It's something called build variety an playstyle preference
I guess a lot of you want to go back to being clones of everyone else smh
This guy explains vertical versus horizontal progression. Now keep in mind, that most games that implement horizontal progression have a slight mix of vertical, that is you reach the set level cap:
Yes this account is new. My PSN however is a day one/beta tester username: robbinnDaHood
Can you find a link to wherever they said this?
-
I'm all for it (except exotics which won't ever get left behind) mainly because getting loot in HoW isn't exciting at all. They made them drop too much and if I can just ascend all of my other weapons why do I need knew ones.
From my understanding, it has been confirmed that all the gear that we have worked so hard to obtain and level will become useless in the taken king expansion./quote] Confirmed from where? What's the source?
-
Part of me wants this to happen. New weapons. New armor. To a degree I even hope they leave the exotics behind as well.
-
I honestly don't understand all the fuss. Surprised they didn't do this sooner.
-
Wait what they're making everything useless after openly admitting this was the biggest problem in their game damn
-
It feels like they are trying to wipe the slate clean. The best way to deal with all the mistakes is to just erase them I guess.
-
Oh wow you're just a -blam!-ing scrub who got the game like a week ago cx I took you seriously, that 1400 grimoire and you think you can comment on what guns to have in game? Have you ever used vanilla weapons? Do you own any? Hell do you even own tdb guns?
-
What's new. You can buy crota gear from the vanguard and the bigger f u c k you was when the vanguard sold better gear than the vault of glass. You didn't see this coming? Not at all?
-
Of course they aren't going to fix that...they gotta keep getting our money somehow.
-
Because there are bigger issues right now like the idiotic pricing.
-
That's just new Bungie head dik-cheese mentality. Someone finished binging on prostitutes and drugs and thought they would like to leave their stench on the company before they deploy their golden parachute to watch this company burn to the ground since they wouldn't pay their County Club dues.
-
They will still be effective pre TTK and there too. Rather then rework old weapons, they will start fresh.
-
I'm done
Just kidding I'm probably still gonna play
Edited by Fury: 7/7/2015 6:11:59 AMWell that's how a game like this would work. As new expansions come out old gear becomes irrelevant.
-
Yeah I'm surprised no one brought this up till now
-
Thats the point!!!! IF WE HAVE Fatebringer/BlackHammer/Vision of Confluence theres no need for new weapons... i can easily tell you havent understood what the point of a loot based engine is supposed to provide
-
You're expecting to use the same guns and armor indefinitely? Seems unreasonable to me, we just have to hope there will be an alternative to the current gear we know and love that works so well.
-
Learned something? You've never played a game that evolves with each expansion, have you?
