Like Activision said you only need one megabyte of bandwidth to play P2P. Then Microsoft said P2P is obsolete, so to rebel against Microsoft they showed how much they hate Xbox players then they used P2P to add insult to injury.

I'm a professional lagger and most the time we don't get advantages. But sometimes we do. For the most part though we don't unless you are lag switching. Then that's a whole other story.
