It doesnt sound to me like I am missing your point. If this game is only fun because of chasing loot, maybe you should stick to playing those crane games with stuffed animals inside. Using one of those games as an example, I see it as, you could choose to spend as many quarters as it takes to win the stuffed animal you want. Keeping in mind you may pull up a bunch of them you dont want. Or you can pay a set amount for the exact one you want. Your reasons for this game being interesting or fun, are not the same as mine, and may not be the same for alot of others. Chasing loot doesnt exactly make it fun for me, I enjoy playing the raids, crucible, etc. for what they are, not what I can get. The loot is just an added bonus. So, maybe in your opinion, a trading system would break the game, for the reasons you enjoyed it. For others, it would be a way to make the game better. I can't help but get hung up in the duality of your argument though. Even if you do have everything you want, from grinding for ever, you could just choose to withhold the extra's so others can "enjoy" the grind. There is no precedent set but the one you choose that dictates whether or not you give items away. That being said, that grind is one of the most talked about -blam!- ups this game has. To each his own though, no reason to drag this out further.
