£40 for TTK?

You're having a laugh. What is it with Activision and their pricing structure? They -blam!- their customers with the CoD franchise i.e. games & DLC, and now the same with Destiny. Using the line that it isn't DLC but a whole new game? Tell me, apart from the obvious, what is the difference between DLC & a whole new game? Seriously, I want to know. £40 is the norm, or thereabouts, for a brand new game where they need to recoup initial dev costs, packaging, printing etc. So how is £40 for "not DLC" justifiable when 'tweaking" code is basically all that's happening. Hell, they are forcing the dollar for pound sterling price too ffs. And for all you ignorant fanboys with bungieitis, don't reply. This is an honest question requiring mature input and not the usual drivel of "you don't like it don't buy/ play it and gtfo OUR forums cos Destiny is the greatest thing since the last great thing and we refuse to have ANYBODY point out issues with our game".

Do the maths. I bought Destiny on release and that cost me £45. Then two DLC which cost £35. £80 total. BUT we get a free shader. Yaaaayyyy! Now the special edition is £80 (from memory). That's £40 for the game (still retails at that price) & £40 for TTK. So that makes the previous 2 DLC FREE. Plus, if you buy this, you get loadsa free shit too. THE ABOVE IS HOW BUNGIE ARE LOOKING AFTER THEIR YEAR ONE GAMERS. Nonsense. As with everything, e.g. Sky, BT etc., it is only about getting new blood in. New customers are more attractive to them financially. They know the game isn't strong enough to last the full life of their plan simply because the model is built around drawing in new gamers and NOT maintaining the current fanbase (other than those idiots who seem unable to see past the rhetoric). If some of the current fanbase leaves, their model will account for that.
