Jokes and Humor Planned, but Ultimately Cut From Destiny

Add this to the long line of inexplicably bad decisions that plagued the final few months of development on the game. After spending money to fly a comedian out to the Bungie offices in an effort to give Dinklebot some much needed personality they (of course) scrapped all the work David Cross did, ignored the negative feedback from the Beta, and kept the initial story campaign a humorless and sterile slog. Dark Below was even worse. At least House of Wolves had some interesting banter and didn't seem to take itself too seriously. Definitely a tiny step in the right direction but I think this news adds more evidence to the theory that there was quite a bit of turmoil and confusion about the direction of the game after Staten and Rubin left the project.
