All crota weapons flavor text except the last one is thorn. Having the word hell mouth is out of place in the deathsingers ancient song

The Weapons of Sorrow exist to shed information on the Deathsong. All weapons augmented in Crota's Hive universe are classified as Weapons of Sorrow. I see not how the Hellmouth is out of place.

Because why would an ancient song refer to something as specific as a hell mouth that didn't exist pre-collapse just doesn't make sense

Just because something is ancient does not mean that it will not be modified. A sequoia hat lives continued to grow, does it not? It Yût found it fit that the Hellmouth, the gateway to Crota's netherworld, should be given reference to in her Liturgy of Ruin.

Perhaps the hellmouth on the moon is just using a name taken from a place in the other universe. Multiple places can have the same names as well as places being named after things and objects.
