I was personally not a fan of the Fallout games. I saw Fallout 4 and thought "That's pretty cool character customization.. I'll keep watching." Then I learned that you can customize a house, create a community, build defenses and protect your new civilization from raiders? I'm sold. I'm huge into MMORPG's and swordfighting games. So Destiny came around and I got into my first FPS. Fallout 4 will be my next FPS :) All the customization looks amazing and I'm excited. I love being able to customize my character, my looks and all that. I'm also a huge sucker for customizing your own house or area. Any huge customization in a game will lure me into playing..

you can swap back and forth between 1st and 3rd person. and there are guns. so yes its a fps.

It is an FPS but you can change your perspective to 3rd person and a sort of mmo like view also.

Ahhh well shooter in general lol. I've never stuck to one, and only played like 5 hours tops and got bored of them.

Well FPS combat isn't the primary focus of the game as much as exploration and adventure so I think you'll still enjoy the game.

Honestly loved seeing him collecting scraps from materials placed all over the world and being able to create whatever with them as long as you had the required materials :)

Yeah the crafting and base building are mainly what interested me too.

ARK seems to be a lot like Rust.

Very different games, but the same idea. Expect ARK has major bugs and you "WILL" lag 100% of the time, even on lowest settings.
