Is hard light worth the exotic slot?
I got hard light as my first exotic EVER from PoE. There are so many other great exotics, but I'm not sire about letting go of this gun.

Nah I like it, keep it, cool bullets and if you swerve a lot in pop you can get kills

Hang onto it, but don't use it unless Bungie decides to buff auto rifles. Until then, there are better options for both PvP and PvE.

I've been killed by this weapon in pvp before when I was drunk so if you use it in a pvp game with me and I'm drunk you may or may not get a kill

No. That's the thing. People argue that thorn is exotic and should be overpowered, but things like hard light, necro, Monte Carlo, etc, are simply not worth it

Honestly even suros isn't worth an exotic slot right now and it's the undisputed king of auto rifles, they are in such a bad place right now in PVE and PVP which is just sad. Bungie didn't like that auto rifles were over used so they nerfed the shit out of them, news flash bungie auto rifles wil ALWAYS, ALWAYS be the most used type of weapon in shooters where they are available.

No. I use it for fun on occasion though. There's noting that feels special about that weapon.

I love the hard light and enjoy using it but sadly it is not great. Hope they buff ARs real soon

Keep it in your vault until AR's (hopefully) get buffed... It was my first exotic too and hopefully one day it will be relevant again

1 ReplyHonestly, almost every exotic in this game is not worth its slot. I have not once used any other exotic since I got Icebreaker and Gjallarhorn. I almost exclusively have Gjallarhorn equipped.

For crucible, it is comepletely outgunned by the handcannons. Does this matter? A bit, because with iron banner you try to win as often as you can for that rep but it is your first exotic. It really wont matter in the long run, any exotic primary can be great as long as you put effort into getting good with it. Keep on using hardlight for as long as you want. :)

Any primary is worth the exotic slot in crucible. You'd be using a different exotic primary so no re-working your class around for it.

A skilled player with hard light can bounce a shot in such a way that it hits a single target (or multiple) twice in the same round... It also confuses the crap out of the a.i so its a really good gun

have to agree with everyone ,its kinda fun to use for bounties and low lvl strikes just for shits and giggles. but it does peeshooter dmg I like AR's and have plenty of them I like to use, but Hardlight makes me nauseous the way it bounces around for some reason.

Not worth it unfortunately but it is fun as hell to shoot around with. Simple things like patrol and vanguard bounties.

Not only no but he'll no. Pre auto nerf, it was shit but passable in PvE. Post auto nerf it was shit everywhere.
