It's an online game. As well try to tell blizzard to make WoW available 'offline'. It's been designed as an online game. It will remain an online game. The sequels will be online games. You knew that going in. It's not like they hid it from everyone. Online games have maintenance times, server crashes etc.

  • I appreciate what you're saying, but I don't think that knowing it excuses it. The difference between this and WoW is that that game is very much intertwined with its multiplayer - I don't play it so I'm afraid I can't speak too deeply about it, but Bungie said it themselves that Destiny is a shared-world shooter, and very much tried to distance itself from being an MMO. I did play Guild Wars and LoL though, but again, those are online experiences, experiences that could not otherwise have happened without it being connected to the internet. The difference is that Destiny can very much be played without the need for any other players - there are definitely people who play it without PS+/gold. I just think that in their current state, the bottom line is that their servers are too fragile. I want to say that they should introduce back-up servers or something but I don't know much about that either. As an added point, they're also reliant on PSN/ xbox live working as well. It's that, mixed with the fact that I don't understand -why- it's always online that has led me to post. "It's an online game" is not justification.
