Any VoG helm with 105 Total roll will ascent to 120+. I consider a helmet good if it has 125+ total roll at 42 light.
Specifically for you, it depends on what your other cooldowns / armor is. I tried to look you up but your account isn't linked so I can't give you any more info besides relative info on min/max rolls.
The above will likely ascend:
1) DIS 59 / STR 58 - DIS 65 / STR 65 - Very good roll
2) INT 52 / STR 52 - INT 57 / STR 57 - Mediocre roll
3) STR 114 - STR 128 - Very good roll
4) DIS 100 - DIS 114 - Mediocre roll
It's important to note as well that 271 is the cap for cooldowns. Exceeding this number will not help so try and have it contained within that.

I thought my account was linked but I'm not sure, anyway I'm currently using Iron Breed gauntlets (Int +50 Dis +54) and greaves (Int +68 and Dis +74) (more for aesthetics than utility) and either Crest of Alpha Lupi (Intellect +169/173) or The Armamentarium (Dis +145/148). I'm more of a PvE player (though I don't own either of the DLCs) so I use Alpha Lupi more. I forgot to mention I'm currently using Defender. I usually would swap to Striker for pvp because of shoulder charge and FoH.

Always try and have 50% INT or so, STR and DIS are up to your personal preference. So, ignoring helmet you have: 291 INT with Alpha Lupi, 118 INT with Armamentarium 128 DIS with Alpha Lupi, 276 DIS with Armamentarium 0 Strength Strictly speaking about Defenders in PvE I'd encourage you to Ascend the 114 STR roll Kabr's Battlecage. It'll give you: Alpha Lupi / Armamentarium: 291 INT / 118 INT 128 DIS / 276 DIS 125+ STR / 125+ STR Additionally, save any VoG chest or PoE chest that comes with a good roll (VoG = 150+, PoE = 170+). Once you get Helm of Saint-14 you're going to have a lot of INT so look to acquire a second set in this circumstance.
