The Ghost Of Crota's End: Chapter 5

Sorry for the long break, readers. Chapter 4 can be found above. Chapter 6: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/135024109 Chapter 5: Losses The team had never head such concern, terror, and sadness in their leaders voice. They turned around and they understood why he was yelling. Thralls crawled from under the bridge and had grabbed Della's robes whilst she was walking upon the one-way bridge. They had attempted to drag her down into the abyss that was below the bridge. Ghost held on with one hand. He couldn't let go of the Sword, as they would both burn if he dropped it. He watched as Della dangled off the bridge, holding onto his arm. He tried to pull her up, but he couldn't. He had no idea why he couldn't use all of his strength. He should've been able to pull her. He should've. She started to slip. Ghost started to cry. She started to cry as well. Then, Ghost could not hold on anymore. His loved one couldn't either. He watched as she was pulled down by the Thralls into the dark chasm, tears spilling out of his eyes. He kept watching, until she disappeared from sight. At that point, he couldn't feel anything anymore. He felt himself hollow, he couldn't move, he could only stare into the dark abyss which Della had fallen into. He felt terrible. He had broken his promise to her. He cried. He wanted to chase her. He wanted to jump off and follow her. He wanted to save her from that Hell. "Ghost! Snap out of it!" the female Hunter yelled. Ghost looked towards his team. He saw the Hive. He saw the Wizards, the Thralls, the Knights and cannon fodder that are the Acolytes start to overwhelm his friends. Hate and anger boiled up inside of him. He was going to kill every single one of them. He was going to kill every Bonewalker that exist. Ghost dashed towards the other side of the bridge and didn't give the Blue Knight a chance to swing. He killed that Knight. He wasn't done yet. He sliced through many Hive and watched them all disappear into ash. Blinking around to dodge the bullets and bombs that were fired by the minions of Crota. His team had covered him while he was on his rampage. Then, the Sword disappeared. Ghost was in the middle of a group of Knights. In his loss of control, he had found himself in trouble. Whack! Ghost fell to the ground. Knocked out by the Knight that had hit him. He waited for the Sword to rend his flesh. He saw purple, he saw legs that weren't disfigured, his team had gathered around him. He started to slip into a deep sleep. "Ghost! Ghost!" He couldn't tell who's voice it was. Probably Privus. Maybe Alexis. Perhaps Jovan. He didn't care anymore. It was over for him now. There was no way his team could save him. Ghost didn't want to die. He hadn't had any peace with himself. Not after that promise he had broken to his little Warlock. But it was coming. He fell into the inevitable sleep that waited for him. ... "We're done for." "Have high hopes, Vari," "I don't even want to be here, Alexis! There's nothing here for me to take! It's just bone, bones, and more bones!" "You forgot. The treasure is the safety we have after killing Crota." "Cliche." "Shush, Privus." "No, he's right Alexis. We can't kill Crota anyway. It's just the four of us!" "Guys! Shut up! He is waking.." The Hunter's eyes slowly opened, his eyes still blurry from the tears from what had happened. He wiped his eyes with his right arm. He looked to his fireteam that hoped he was okay. It seemed that they had surpassed the bridge section. "How are you feeling?" the only remaining Warlock asked. No response was given. "Ghost, come on, speak with us." "I don't want to. I do not have the energy to carry on." The team looked to each other as Ghost got up. "Ghost, come on buddy, old pal! Cheer up! We can still do it." His old Exo friend attempted to cheer him up. "Come on, Ghost! We can still do it!" The Titan put his hand over his leader's shoulder. Ghost pushed his hand away and walked next to a metal wall that was apart of Crota's Temple.. The female Titan spoke up, bringing on her motherly approach. "Ghost, come on, it's okay. We ca-" Her voice was interrupted by a loud metal tear. The team became afraid of their leader. He had punched a hole into the metal wall. Ghost was angry. Very angry. The Warlock knew this was going to go no where. . "Guys, hold him down." Ghost looked to Jovan. "H-hold him down?" Vari said, frightened of her leader. "Yes! Charge him! Now!" It took the four members at least thirty minutes to capture their leader. Another ten to hold him down. They only did because their Leader grew tired. As they held him down, they were afraid he was going to unleash hell upon the team. 'What do you plan to do. Jovan?" Asked the Exo, curious of his intentions. "I've practiced a long time for this, because I knew one day something like this was going to happen." "What did you practice? What are you going to do?" Asked Vari. The Warlock prepared his spell. "Wipe his memory of Della." He put his hand over the helmet of Ghost. The leader of the pack soon fell into a deep sleep, once again.
